My dad was a real Texas cowboy. He died of a virus in the family of TB and just 2-3 months later I got RDR2. I felt like I was spending time with him. Very special memory/game.

can we talk about the smooth transitions between the games?

14:13 if the cyberpunk at release was what exists today, it’d be winning every award

Witcher 3 hands down had some of the best side quests in gaming history! Such a beautifully made game!

First time I saw Horizon Zero Dawn i said it was stupid.
After playing it, it was one of the best experiences I've had playing games.

FINALLY someone giving RIse of the Tombraider the love it deserves! One tiny thing that made it perfect for me in the end is that you can actually change the settings for every kind of ingame hint and stuff separately: are the ledges white white, or just a little lighter; will Lara comment on everything in a riddle tomb or give you time to figure it out yourself... stuff like that is so important and devs just don't do that usually

I had to stop playing RDR2 for awhile, because the story was just so depressing for me. But it was so good finishing it. Masterpiece. Now I bought it on PC, to do it again for old times sake!

Surprised I didn't see Days Gone on the list. Literally some of the best acting I've seen. Up there with Last if Us Part 1 and Uncharted 4. Amazing controls, story, open world that is constantly changing with zombie hordes, marauders, wild animals, etc. That game is such a hidden gem its tragic.

I am missing Far Cry 3, such a well written game

The magnificent Days Gone. The one game I keep returning to. That feeling when riding the motorbike round a corner and coming up against a gigantic hoard of zombies. Terrifying but it really gets the adrenalin going. Love it.

Baldur's Gate 3 should be here. Easily one of the best single-player experiences I've ever had. An absolute masterpiece of a game.

Ghost of Tsushima is just indescribable. I love that game so much.

The Mass Effect trilogy and Gears of War games are among my favorites of all-time.

I never had enough money to buy a video game console or a good computer capable of running big-name games. So I watched countless hours of gameplay videos on YouTube for games I’d like to play. Many of them are on this list. But The Witcher 3 was the only one I was truly sad I hadn’t played. That is, until last year, when I was finally able to play it. A decade of waiting, and it was worth it. I’ve put in 400 hours, and I still have a whole world to explore. TW3 is truly special to me. ❤

I'd include Portal 2 (which also has an amazing co-op mode), Breath of the Wild, Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite, and also the original Arkham Asylum and Arkham City

To this day, I still can’t believe God of War won game of the year. Not that it wasn’t fantastic, but because RDR2 is literally the standard. We still hold games to that game 8 years later. No game brings out that much pure emotion in a person.

If we're going back a ways I'd add Portal 1 and 2, and also the Half Life series but I highly recommend playing an upgraded version of HL1. To this day both are probably the best single player games I've ever played. Only downside to HL is there isn't an ending and there may never be.
