[Note]
This video was filmed for instructional purposes, with an emphasis on clarity. Please note that there may be slight differences from actual medical practice.
For those unfamiliar with the method, it is fine to assess circulation by the presence or absence of a palpable pulse. During secondary triage, if there are signs suggestive of shock, the color will turn red. Therefore, I believe the implication is that those who can be assessed quickly can be assessed based on factors other than the presence or absence of a palpable pulse.
In the case of the START plus method, if a patient turns yellow in response to instructions and is able to walk with assistance, they will be placed in the hold group.
