《Note》
・While the reservoir is properly called a reservoir bag, it is also referred to as a reservoir in the video to avoid confusion with the bag that you press.
・This video aims to cover the key points of the BVM, and the quiz is just a bonus. The quiz questions have some shortcomings, such as intentionally omitting details. We would appreciate it if you would not complain or get angry about the way the quiz is presented.
・Even with proper ventilation, air can still enter the stomach.
・Minimizing interruptions in chest compressions is also very important.
・Q8 is posed on the premise that you are properly ventilating with the mask. Even if oxygen is being delivered properly, there may be a time lag before SpO2 rises, so if it's immediately after, the answer is to wait a little while. If there is another cause, we will respond immediately.
Depending on the patient's condition, we may slightly increase the ventilation volume.
As mentioned in the latter half of the video, after the bag is removed, the oxygen that is constantly flowing is stored in the reservoir and the rest is released, but some of it enters the bag and comes out from the mask side.
The explanation of airflow during ventilation in this video does not take the patient's spontaneous breathing into consideration. When there is spontaneous breathing, synchronize with the spontaneous breathing.
There are parts where the expression "oxygen + air" is used, but of course, air also contains oxygen.
When performing mask ventilation, oral airways or nasal airways may also be used.
