Micah knew Joe before Blackwater Massacre. Joe asks you if you know Micah when you first visit him in red dead online. Which is set in 1898.

My high honor Arthur seems pretty cannon to me

I feel like Colm would've bragged to Arthur about Micah setting him up. Just to run it on. Plus he didn't think Arthur was leaving.  EVER !

I think regarding the high honor/ low honor thing, maybe my playstyle was a lot less violent than most peoples who play the game since i just naturally dont like violent games very much, but the way i played Arthur made me see him as a deeply conflicted man. Someone who could have become a truly good, selfless and helpful person if his life hadnt taken him to where it did. And all he was taught was the importance of loyalty.
In the beginning of the game he is a bad person, for sure. He doesnt really have too much remorse, he follows dutch without second guessing him much at all,... but imo even before he gets the tuberculosis diagnosis, he starts to feel like what hes doing isnt right. He still does it and i dont mean to excuse any of that. But it does mean that somewhere in him there is a truly good, honorable man. And thats what the honor system to me kind of symbolised i guess.

And i think the redemption part of his story is one of the best story directions i have ever seen in a game. At no point does the game try to sell you the idea that Arthur is a saint or that he will go to heaven when hes dead or that he can somehow in the last few weeks of his life repent for all the horribly things he did. The game is very honest with us, and Arthur is very honest with himself, that if there is an afterlife, Arthur probably wont get the good one and he has absolutely no chance anymore to somehow make up for his sins. He could live a whole nother lifetime and it wouldnt be enough to make up for all the death and pain he caused. But thats not what the redemption is about, as you also said in your video. Its about Arthur knowing full well good deeds wont bring him a good afterlife and wont redeem him at all, that the few good deeds he can do until hes dead are just tiny drops in an ocean of pain, but he does them anyway. The point, in my opinion, is that he does them not for his own benefit but almost purely because it is the right and good thing to do. Which is maybe also why the game apparently always chooses the low honor option if you let the game decide. Because being good is always supposed to be an active choice in this story.

I dont know, i'm rambling and probably not saying much but i just really really love the approach the game takes here. I havent really seen any other game (or any other media tbh) who touches on the topic of redemption in as nuanced of a way as RDR2, which really surprised me when i played it honestly. The moral is kind of "even if you have caused several lifetimes of pain, its never too late to choose a different path". Maybe it sounds a bit cheesy but i think theres a lot of truth to that.

Micah story is pretty easy. He wasn’t a direct rat until the end but he was tipping the law and even rival gangs about the gangs activities, all to get the bounty to raise higher and higher until it got to a point that it became too dangerous for him.

Dutch is also the kind if guy "that wants to live by the sea"

bro. i love your projects. i loved the star citizen series and i want to see more videos on more games. i hope you continue to create content.

7:34 This is such a good point. I listen to a lot of these videos and no one has put it into words. So many conspiracies but I truly think Micah just wanted his portion of the blackwater gold. Themes and all that too 😂

you gotta remember one thing, very single time someone thanks Arthur and says he's a good man, he makes sure to let them know he's not.

Dude amazing video I mean I know this is a little older but man the way u make it interesting just in the way u talk about it keep up the work and keep going definitely got a new subscriber

why does this no have over a million views this is epic youtube algorithm is messedup

I love watching your videos when I’m geeked

I’ve always thought that Arthur was never a good man like many refer to him as but rather a bad man who has been lead astray from the time he was a boy. One that sees the consequences of the poor lifestyle he is accustomed to and witnesses all that he knows fall apart. That alongside knowing  his days are numbered, motivates him to use what time he has left to make a difference and start to show true compassion, sympathy, and empathy to those around him.

Around 6:50, there's Evidence that Sean was the Rat at Blackwater.

Micah just wanted to get Dutch's trust so he could talk his way to get back to Blackwater and retrieve that money, and betray him at the right time.

Yo I’m 45 mins into the video and I’ve seen more ads than cutscenes in the game with Arthur in them

HELLO SCARFACE DID YOU MISS ME

Saint Dennis was Dutch’s girlfriend (I forgot her name I think it was molly O’Shea) she says it drunk at a bar that she’s the one that told the police they were coming because Dutch was ignoring her up till that point and when she says it the head old  lady of the gang shoots her because it’s the gang rule.

21:15 Micah was WAY too eager to end a rivalry that wasn’t even playing out at the moment, aside from Dutch’s paranoia in the Grizzlies and a couple random encounters they are t even an issue! HE attacked 6 Point. They didn’t attack any of the gang except for a time or two that they tried to shake down Arthur on the road… same that they were everyone coming down the road. They weren’t directly targeting any of the gang. Yet Micah made it seem like SUCH an issue “to save folks”! Only Odriscols were being killed, not any Van Der Linde gang members.
Micah believed that only ARTHUR could possibly sway Dutch. He was his direct rival and wanted to get rid of him. I believe he set it up and told the Odriscols who Pearson was and where to meet him. He was MUCH too eager to have Pearson tell Dutch, to put it on someone else to set up but then took the reins full horse! HE pushed for it when he never cared about ANYTHING else in the gang besides himself!! What other benefits would MICAH have from the 2 gangs squashing their beefs?? And it was NOT because he wanted to “save lives” of the “dead weight” as he constantly called them!!

Alright brother, there's no doubt about it, you're talented and make great content. After watching three of your lengthy videos, you've more than earned my follow.

I'll forgive the mispronunciations, but I will still be vocal. Consider it a trade. I talk shit and boost your channel in exchange for having to hear those words pronounced that way. 😂
