I hope the dispatcher is now bagging groceries for a living.

what kind of dispatcher hears THAT many gunshots over a 911 call and thinks it was just a hang up? wtf?? that’s so infuriating. RIP

@packnyc 4 years ago

Wow… I can’t believe the 911 dispatcher literally says “all I hear is gunshots”, and don’t report it!! That woman should be prosecuted!

@Beat-lb8jg 1 year ago

The fact she happily let people believe it was a drug deal knowing he was dead and she was involved is crazy work

@Truckngirl 4 years ago

I think her guilt was clear during the interview you featured. She was asked directly was she involved in the murder and she went on and on but never said the word NO.

I love the ex wife saying "I am doing this for my children" when she pled guilty. I think the moment she decided the kill the Father of her children she lost any moral high ground to say she is doing anything for her children. Please don't pretend you care about your children when you were instrumental in having their Father killed!

Seeing his mother running towards where his body was, got me. That poor woman. I can’t imagine what she was thinking and feeling as she ran to her boy. My heart goes out to her and the rest of her family.

That 911 operator couldn’t even pretend she didn’t know if it was gunshots… she literally says “all u hear is gunshots” AFTER hearing a man scream “oh my god!” In a panicked tone of voice… and she didn’t trace the call?? Wtf… makes me think what are the requirements to become a dispatcher ??

Once she said "I'm a minister of the lord..." I knew she was guilty.

I think we can all agree that she, the ex wife should not have been given such a light sentence. It’s appalling.

@hanb8737 4 years ago

Why the heck would a 911 operator think someone screaming and then gunshots was a prank??

Nobody:

911 Operators: so rude these people call us WHILE they gettin murdered

I mean, why would you tell your supervisor about 11 gunshots and a caller who is either incapacitated or staying silent while hiding? Nope, nothing to report. Especially after repeatedly saying “Hellooo” like an annoyed teenager.

That moron of a dispatcher saying '"hello" in a chirpy voice while hearing a barrage of gunshots should be sent home asap

The saddest thing in this whole story is Debrah loosing her relationship with those children and she didn’t do anything wrong. The whole reason why her son was such an incredible, giving man was because of her and his father. I pray those children realize what they are missing and reach out to her before it’s to late. Praying for them all. This actually made me cry because my grandchildren are the most important thing in my life.

When the wife told the cops that Lorenzen left with a box of drugs and that he said he was going to flip something for 100k on the phone, made me suspicious of her involvement. She tried to tarnish his name. That dispatcher clearly doesn't know her job. Hears that many shots and don't report to follow up....wow.

@Mminneaux 4 years ago (edited)

As a 911 operator, how can you receive a call for help, ACKNOWLEDGE all you hear are GUNSHOTS, and then say “oh, they never responded. Must have been the wind. Nbd” and NEVER FOLLOW UP?? I have stricter follow-up guidelines in non-life threatening customer service…

He was gorgeous and kind hearted. Can’t seem to figure out how he ended up with someone like her .

It’s so heartbreaking that his children stopped talking to their grandma . The mom even admitted to being part of the killing plan , so why would theu be on her side . Tragic

@iamthesoulfulone 4 years ago

I remember seeing this story on television a while back. That mom was relentless in getting justice for her son. She is a magnificent woman, she never said anything hateful about the ex wife, she just wanted justice served. Truly Criminal, you guys did a great job detailing this case.
