When you realize all of the Landlady's interruptions weren't because of her being annoying, but she was trying to save the masters any way she could without using kung fu. In the end they both broke their vows anyway to try and save the masters showing that she was actually a good person all along

The acting is top notch. When the camera cuts to the back seat of the car and the Landlady is there (along with Landlord being up front) the two in the back have this aura that their souls just left their bodies from pure fear. They sold it so well it’s hilarious. Serious tears of laughter every time I see this scene!

Me : Yes

Growing up I just thought it was a mildly entertaining, goofy kung-fu film. Nowadays I realize what a gem this really was and it's even more fun watching to this day. CLASSIC

9:37 - 9:47 is just absolutely brilliant. Visual comedy and top tier editing at their best.

Hollywood editing: hides the fight choreography

Hong Kong editing: highlights the fight choreography

Jokes aside, the battle scene was without any doubt, quite excellent, the spearman one was truly magnificent, due of the dance that he did to defend himself with the help of his spears, it made the whole scene awesome.
