Ever wondered why some people stay loyal to old Lexus cars for decades? In this video, we explore the psychology of people who drive old Lexus cars and what their choice says about their mindset, values, and lifestyle.

Old Lexus owners often value reliability, comfort, and smart spending over flashy trends. They think long term, avoid unnecessary debt, and care more about quality than status. Their calm, practical personality shows in every mile they drive.

We also look at why models like the Lexus LS, ES, and RX last so long and earn so much trust. If you love used luxury cars, car psychology, or smart money habits, this video is for you.

Money isn't the only reason, or even the main reason. Early Lexus build quality was elite and the 1uz v8 in the LS depicted is one of the most reliable motors Toyota ever built

I have a 2011 es350 with 80k. It is in pristine condition. I will never get rid of it.

Paid off reliable car is better than a monthly payment. I have a paid off 2002 camry 2.4L only $35 a month ins AAA. In addition I only work 3 days a week n about 3.8 miles round trip. Fill up once a month. I can afford to buy a new car without payments but I rather pay off my house faster! Nothing wrong with an electric car, if u afford go for it! U might save in gas but think of the monthly n insurance add in to the cost, same thing with a new car. For me I've decide to keep my money n not to put in a depreciating value. I been saving more with that route.

I used to buy used cars, but very low mileage, most of them Toyota and keep them for at least 8 years and I ended saving a lot of money. But now since 90% of cars on roads are leased I switched to buying new car, but of course with at least 4.5k below msrp and no add-ons, because I saw what people do to leased cars :-( it is human nature if you do not own the car you will not take care of it.
So if you want to buy a used car make preference would be to a one that is owned by previous owner and not leased.

I wish I could buy an old Lexus, Europe is banning most of the old cars. Apparently it's cleaner to trash millions of cars & build new ones with shorter lifespan, loaded with chemicals, instead of keeping an old reliable car going...

Fuel costs are the only thing now. Electric looking like the only real option now 😢

I bought a 2001 lexus RX300, so I guess I am one of the people the video talks about. I got it for only $3000, but that's because it already had 200k miles on it. Even so, it's been years now and still runs reliably.

I didn't think I would agree with this video at first. I know psychologists would deduce a great many things about a person from what they drive. However, I believe that stuff was mostly only true in a time when people had a lot more expendable income than they do now and could personalize their choices.

Today, people work 60+ hours a week and still live out of their car. As such, I don't think people personalize their purchases like they used to and therefore, I doubt if the old psychology still holds true. In theory, you could see a total homophobe riding around in a hot pink minicooper if that's the best deal he can get.

All that being said, I DID buy the old lexus because I needed a car and I have gotten years of service from it so I guess the video was right. I refuse to buy anything if I can't afford to buy it outright, no payment plan stuff.
