Mercedes have won eight of eleven races and lead both championships. Lovely...except George Russell’s season has become a travelling collection of failures and exhaustion. The team HAS admitted several faults but we're left wondering this: has Mercedes built a fragile advantage or simply created the fastest car in Formula 1 with a few expensive problems still waiting to be solved...and they're running out of time. Russell and Antonelli look very close to a grid drop and Ferrari and McLaren are salivating!

Mercedes built a glass cannon, fastest but prone to breakdown. The rest were slower but are now catching up but with better reliability.

Thanks for pointing out the issues George and Kimi have and that they may not be the same. All these mid year driver reviews are really tough on George and yes, I think he has to look to himself to improve, but I think it's unfair to put all his results down to having less pace than Kimi. It's almost unbelievable the luck he has had as well.

As a new(ish) fan I'd be the fan (according to the FIA) that is "only interested in watching overtaking cars" so all I can say is thank god there's channels like this! Thanks for a great take on what's going on in the F1 world.

It's honestly insane that nobody talks about the swapping of marginal parts to the second car/driver. Red bull did it with Vettel and they do it with verstappen and Mercedes is now doing it with Antonelli.

1- Everyone is running out of options. I don't know how exactly this is a Mercedes problem only
2- Statistically, how many races does Kimi need to win the championship? 5 to 8 more races? And that's on the assumption that all the remaining 12 races will be held
3- And you did compare Lando to Max; stop trying to weasel your way out of it. Math doesn't win races

Good video, am merc fan since 2010, when it was a car more from front of midfield than top team, seeing them going to the top stay a while then fell, then comeback for fight championship,
of course many thought that they would stomp the championship, but most now tell that they will fall, dont forget how many wins they have, and that the other contenders have good and bad moments too, it will be tight, but i still think merc as 1st for now, no clear challenger that stole many wins, just 2 out of 3 losses are cause by reliability more than better car from others.
