One of the most helpful videos I have seen on pulling together a decorative scheme that's personal and stylish.

Really great video. All the homes (real homes) are different and beautiful (great job, people) and you explain why and how.

I have used all of these and my apartment was collected over the past 25 years. My husband passed in 2009 (I was 54 years wise then) and my daughter and I moved to WA with almost nothing. My design style is eclectic leaning coastal, and I have a lot of house plants, layered lighting, original art and art prints on the walls of my two bedroom apartment. I adore my home so much.

The last lesson 6: Make it personal take your time let it evolve naturally is very important. 99% of people don't do this, which can lead to bad home design!

I've been decorating my small flat for over a year. Taking my time so I don't make any of the common mistakes people usually make.

Kept some sentimental stuff artwork, furniture from my previous homes. The ones that will actually fit in blend in well. While buying some new artwork, furniture.

Hallway and bedroom completed so far. Hallway calm inviting warming, bedroom calm cosy relaxing. Over the moon as I want to feel good in a home 🌛

Well done !! Such a great video with key concepts. Would you make a video about windows decor ? Today, there are many choices around curtain, rollers, zebra blinds and some guidance will truly help :)

Great format! Thank you so much for the before and after. All you say makes so much more sense! Always a pleasure!

Excited to see the visualizer tool, visual quality is very promising. A few things I’d be looking for: ability for it to extract a colour palette based on the photo of the room, ability to drop in particular furniture or other items (from photo or web link), remove objects, and give it plain language instructions for things to try. I’m sure it will be an ongoing evolution so thought I’d drop the wish list in ;)

A home has an overall arching aesthetic with each room having its own personality. Be careful that you're choosing the right furniture, lighting, and decor that works within that room's personality, under the overall arching theme. For example, bedside lamps should be calming, inviting, sensual, like a warm hug. Too modern, too slick, too cold, and It reads as misaligned with the bedroom personality. That's not to say it isn't correct for the overall arching home's theme, It just may be more appropriate for a different room's personality. This is the big mistake that so many people make.

6:29 looks better than before. Apart from the Pinterest Tiktok left & right vertical wall slat sections!

Those vertical wall slats are so generic with every café, restaurant, shop, home etc now having them 🤦🏾‍♂️😅

He should have just gone with the subtle simple wood panelling that's underneath the vertical slats 👌🏾
