In this discourse, Sayyidi Younus AlGohar first discusses deceptive spiritual manifestations and explains why outward resemblance, dreams or unusual experiences should not automatically be taken as proof of spiritual authenticity.

The discourse then explores the relationship between Prophet Moses and Aaron and the parallel drawn by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ between that relationship and his own relationship with Maula Ali.

Sayyidi explains the significance of Maula Ali being the Wasi of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the declaration at Ghadir e Khum and the role of Maula Ali in transmitting the inner spiritual knowledge of the heart.

The discourse ultimately examines the statement, ‘Whomsoever I am the Maula of, Ali is his Maula’, and explores the spiritual authority of Maula Ali in relation to the wider authority of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
