On video begin there is a huge mistake ( I hope)
The entire digged gold is 22 qubic  meters and not 22 square meters .

My mother's father kept his US gold coins and continued to buy illegal gold from others
who were afraid to keep theirs after 1933.  He ran a bar in NJ, everyone in area knew him.

"Ayy 42 here" always hits home

Gordon Brown  is famous for having sold 395 tonnes of UK gold ( abt 50 %  of their reserves ) on the socalled  'Brown bottom '- the day before Gold started to rally since then !!!     so genius !!

At least 3 times I've had someone ask me "did he say, hey 42 here" when I watch his videos around people. Lol I think sometimes he does say 42 just to mess with us

Gold may be impervious to corrosion, but obviously not to the other 'C' word, corruption.

There is a fine line between "owning gold" and "controlling gold".
As they say, "possession is 9/10 of the law".  The last tenth is apparently "trust".  When push comes to shove, however, it probably changes from "trust" to "if you can forcibly take it from us".

I worked at the NY Fed for 20 years and at least for me gold quickly lost whatever allure it had. It was just  yellow bars that were a pain in the ass on those wooden pallets that impressed people on tours but a regular unexciting object to me which seemed ridiculous for how much worth people assigned to them. So many more inexpensive yet practical things held more value for me.

The irony of mining gold up from the earth making it into bricks then storing it back into the earth

On average, gold miners must dig 1 ton of ores from the ground, in order to extract one gram of pure gold.
Gold is not rare per se; rather, it is extremely scattered into the ground, and concentrating it into its pure form is extremely difficult, it is time consuming, and it is energy intensive.

They don't have any gold because it was stolen in Die Hard 3....lol 😅😂

3:40 This actually not correct: The German gold was never transported from Germany to the USA – it's always been in the USA! Before Nixon "closed the gold window" the German trade surpluses were not simply settled with dollars, but with gold, and this was stored in the Fed. Over the years it accumulated to that huge amount. Officially it was not brought to Germany to keep it safe from the Soviets, that's correct. –  Only a few years ago 40% of the German gold was repatriated which took 7 years (if I'm not mistaken) because the bars were not just lying there but had to be "organized". No old gold bar reached Germany, all bars were newly refined and cast.

Schroedingers Gold

Gordon Brown sold off UK gold reserves around 2007.  He got about $300 an ounce.  Recently $3200.

They’re not hoarding gold. They’re hoarding trust… and that’s way more unstable

Is it really worth investing in gold this 2025, I’ve been on the sidelines watching the market for awhile and it seems to be pretty stagnant to me not that it matters because I’m in it for the long run, but how can one generate actual profit in this current market?

It’s wild thinking I’ve been watching this channel for nearly 7 years, and you’re still going. I’m impressed.

The gold hasn't been there since Die Hard with a Vengeance occurred.

The templars used gold backed paper money before these smiths existed. They held on to your gold and gave you paper notes you could exchange for gold on your journey to the holy land.
