They didn't have bait for fishing, so they ate the dead bodies... Am i the only one thinking that they could have used the dead bodies as bait instead?

Just remember - 72 hours is all you really need to break society

The real tragedy is accepting a sponsor from BetterHelp.

I served at Ft Ord, CA during the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake.  Initially, people in the area were helpful and cordial.  However, those who had money in the bank couldn't access it. The stores still had food, but without electricity, the cash registers couldn't work and so, no food.  Without electricity, the pumps at the gas stations didn't work, so no gas.  In the few days after the quake I witnessed society begin to crumble and luckily power was restored.  Had it gone on for a long time, the most import thing to have would have been firearms.  Never think society will remain stable until many weeks of doing without.  The clock starts ticking relatively soon.

Well... their FIRST mistake was to serve red wine with fish.

Betterhelp has proven in the past that we CAN'T trust it.

The real tragedy is that it was so avoidable. Nobody needed to die, but those in charge were narcissistic, egotistical, and phallus headed individuals who were too dumb to prevent it. Sad, really. Great vid Aaron.

Ah yes, the only channel where I get stories irrelevant to my life but feels like it affects me. Good story time, 10/10 would recommend.

“ Not the sharpest cutlass on the ship “ LOL ! I’m stealing that ! ⚓️🛟👍🤣

For me, the most poignant detail in Gericault's "Radeau de la Meduse" is that everybody on the raft is desperately, frantically trying to attract the attention of the ship, except for that one grey-haired man down front who's holding onto the corpse of a young man. This is meant to depict a father who no longer cares if they're rescued or not, because his son has died.

A ship called Medusa? WHAT CAN GO WRONG??

2:45 tried Better Help and the "professional" was less qualified than I am.

The men who admitted to cannibalism and murder probably thought that what they went through was horrible enough that they didn't want another crew to live through it and rightfully retaliate.

Was excited to have found a good history channel that had somehow eluded me despite being huge... and then I saw the Better Help ad.  You dont need their money anymore dude you're huge.

When I was in a stalled elevator in Dallas in the 1990’s for 20 mins. or so with a few others I learned that people don’t find  jokes about resorting to cannibalism very funny.

"A full belly is prerequisite to all manner of good, without that, nobody knows what hunger will make them do." -Alexander Pierce

Most humans can last for months without food so having to start eating eachother before 14 days have passed is a bit early.

it's blowing my mind that this entire tragedy unfolded in the course of FOUR DAYS.

A real captain does not abandon his crew or his passengers to save himself.

The sweet, sweet irony of a Better Help advert inserted into a video of unbridled lunacy
