I appreciate that you show the reality. I went to Oxford as a visiting researcher and I was a bit underwhelmed. I think I had too high expectations 😂

£1,050 a month! When I was an undergrad at Emma my entire termly (not monthly) college bill was about £350, whether staying in college or out at Barnwell. Mind you, that was 40 years ago (before the room-fridges appeared). JCR beer was 49p a pint, and average 65p in pubs.

Hahahaha! It's the same raw deal in Harvard (Boston). The exteriors have nothing to do with the blah interiors. I've seen more posh interiors in small private colleges in Florida.

I've always wanted to go to Oxford. Now I can live vicariously through you, haha. Those rooms are very spacious.

I was about to say how big your room is but then I heard the price 😅

if en-suite rooms are this spacious, who needs a studio, one can get used to communal kitchens as well

It’s fascinating to see just how varied the options, rooms and ‘houses’ are that you can live in when you’re studying in Oxford. To be honest, I get really excited about that sort of thing ^-^
Oh, and about that little caption: No, I don’t think I’m a legend just because I was curious about what’s inside your PC :D I just wouldn’t necessarily have expected to find a gaming PC in Oxford.
However.. I totally agree with that dig at the printer – I feel exactly the same way. Mine’s finally given up the ghost just when I need it most – it’s definitely time for a new one, otherwise I’ll be ‘paying through the nose’ at the university library, as the German saying goes. And when you look at the prices… well, you can’t really afford it xD
