Never stop learning. The universe might not care, but that can be freeing as well as frightening

I love that every single commentator in this comment section absolutely loves Forrest and the wonderful science he teaches. Never stop learning indeed. Also remember that admitting you don't know or understand something is the foundation of intellectual humility and honesty.

Forest has the skill, talent, intelligence, and personality to make science and rationality mainstream again.
He’s so patient, caring and empathetic to even the most vile callers on the line and any other platform he engages.

I’d love to meet him one day shake his hand and tell him thank you for everything He’s done for the community.

We need more people with Forrest's enthusiasm and gift for putting things comprehensibly.

I love all your content and this stands out in a library that stands out. Love this so much!

2:00 mission accomplished coming from the netherlands

The problem is they're as stubborn as flat earthers.

This man is a national treasure and should be treated as such.

Great. Now I'm going to have toad nightmares.

Nice to see David.

How lovely to see Dave Warnock!!
I used to really enjoy watching him on the line.
Ive just realised I can't remember the full title of his show. "Dying out loud" perhaps.
Anyway, I always found him to be such a charming host.

Forrest is always fantastic fun and so interesting.
(Total man crush🫣🤭😍)

I’m glad I was always an atheist. I look at the universe and see that it’s the most amazing thing. I was talking to someone at dinner last night who told me she knew someone who was raising a litter of skunks who has lost their mother. The skunks just followed him around like he was their mother. How cool is that? Or learning about how jumping spiders sort of recognize people? Crows remember people for the good and bad. It’s so awesome how connected we are and that our understanding of these other beings aren’t what we used to think. We’re just this huge web. Then I look at the planets and the stars. I wonder what’s out there. The one and only reason I’d want to live for centuries is so that I could one day get out there and maybe encounter an extraterrestrial species. But even looking at planets and moons themselves would be astounding. Imagine being trapped in a dome and missing out on the wonders of the universe?

Yeah that toad thing was horrifying!

I feel inspired. That honestly hasn't happened in forever. Thank you Forrest.

This is such an incredible speech. This literally brought me to tears. Thank you sir, thankl you so much.

Evolution just means a gradual change. Species evolve through random mutations that are then culled or selected for through natural selection, environmental changes, a bit of further randomness, and so on. The planet evolves through plate tectonics, biological feedback loops altering the environment on a local or global scale, etc.

11:35 ... OMFG!  Naw man, no no no! That's gotta be a clip from some Lovecraftian horror movie, right?! Please say that's a clip from some Lovecraftian horror movie! Please! PLEASE!!!
11:58 ... love the Cyclopean Smiley face!

Ahh! Now I get to see my dumb head (brown hat) for 25 minutes in the front row watching one of the most amazing speakers I have ever seen. Forrest is perhaps one of the number one reasons I went from a deeply devoted and gullible Christian to a grateful skeptic and atheist today. Im the only atheist in my family. Thanks Forrest! lol it’s actually fascinating to hear my family talk about god/Jesus and act as if his existence is equal to the evidence for gravity.

Anyways, it’s so COOL to see my head on a Forrest Valkai video of Forrest speaking live!

Definitely nice to see Dave. Take it easy, dude.

Absolutely beautiful, Forrest. I'd be proud to be your brother, father, or son. But I'll just be happy to be human alongside you. 🌎🤘♥️
