➡️I'm taking advantage of the clutch and dual-mass flywheel replacement on my Defender Td5 to demonstrate the differences between the two setups. I opted for a single-mass flywheel and a Power clutch from LOF Clutches, which is compatible with Stage 2 mapping, 440 Nm, and 200 hp ⚙️🔥
NOTE: The paint applied to the crankshaft face of the flywheel is not original; it's simply an extra precaution I took to prevent rust from forming on this part. (My region is very humid, and a degreased part rusts immediately. Also, be careful never to add thickness to the contact surface for tightening or to overload haphazardly, as this could cause the part to become unbalanced.)

J'ai moi même un defender qui a bien vécu avec qqs aller retour au Maroc plus quelques pistes ds les haut de france...... J'ai fait changé mon embrayage complet il y'a qqs années par un mono masse...... Pas de pb depuis....... J hésite actuellement à revenir au bi masse...... Pour une seule raison..... Le confort 😊... Eh avec l'âge on recherche aussi un certain confort ds nos def.... Et c'est pas simple 😁. Pourquoi revenir au bi masse.... Tout simplement, je trouve que la boîte de vitesses est plus bruyante..... Vibration accrues avec le mono masse........ Maintenant, je ne suis pas expert..... C'est aussi peut être du jeu ds la boîte de vitesses......

Les vibrations occasionnées sont très importantes et je ne parle même pas du bruit au ralenti .
Le bi masse est clairement plus confortable à tous les points de vue

Ayant le même Defender que toi, je suis passé sur un volant moteur monomasse et un embrayage renforcé. Le fournisseur de pièces m'avait bien prévenu du bruit de vibrations à l'arret, embrayage embrayé sans passage de vitesse, et ceci s'explique d'autant que mon mécanicien et moi n'avions pas jugé utile de remonter la masse stabilisatrice, montée d'origine sur les Td5.
J'ai eu récemment à changer l'émetteur/récepteur d'embrayage et j'ai trouvé un ensemble émetteur/récepteur renforcé, de plus grande section, qui est beaucop plus "doux" que l'ancien qui était d'origine, grâce à une surface d'appui plus large ; c'est bien plus confortable, car le récepteur est équipé d'un piston avec un diamètre légèrement supérieur au diamètre standard, réduisant ainsi de 30 à 40% la résistance sur la pédale.
Avec un embrage renforcé et un volant monomasse, c'est l'idéal !
