Any financial adviser who tells you to accrue massive debts you only have a slight possibility of being able to pay off is probably not very good at their job.

This channel has crime stories I've never heard of before. Most true crime channels just repeat the same stories over, and over.
Good on you Mr Brief Case.

@MarciaBaker1205 6 years ago

They didn't waste time executing criminals in those days

It is weird that his accomplice did not face any penalty for his involvement.

Sometimes I wonder why people of such intelligence don't use it for good instead of evil. Such a waste of so many lives.

This case comes off remarkably astute for the time. The missing accused was found when disappearing was fairly easy. A witness was questioned quite ingeniously, not abused or extorted. Believable forensic analysis offered by a doctor. The verdict probably wouldn’t stand today, but modern elements were there.

I just love this era. The difference with class, life at court (royalty court). The huge difference between the peasants and those of high class. The difference that those who committed crimes between the classes. I’m a history geek as well as a crime geek.
Well done BC.

Imagine how his life would have gone if he did not get smallpox and had a Patron to continue his education. Such a mind gone to waste.
I really enjoy these stories. Thank you for all you do.

The will of the "common people" in those days was nothing short of impressive. I would not be able to teach myself another language. Would never know where to start
