Who would win:

The crushing weight of immortality and a repeating cycle that will never come to an end no matter how much you beg, scream, cry, and bargain.

Hello, dev here!
I have to be honest, I have never watched any kind of video essay/interpretation of The Heilwald Loophole, apart from the occasional let's play.
Just saw this in my recommended today and thought I'd finally give one a go and I'm really glad I did!
This game gives me a weird sense of nostalgia at this point so it was really nice to watch you do a deep dive into the world and story.
It's also the only game I've made that still haunts my dreams on a semi-regular basis which is a nice full-circle moment since the whole idea originated from a dream.
I also think it's really funny how there's certain parts of the game that I didn't even intentionally design in a specific way that just accidentally fell into place and added to the overall experience.
So yea, thank you so much for playing and making this amazing video - made my day!

It's just occurred to me that the reason why there's so much mould everywhere isn't just because there's no consequence for letting the patients lie in there own filth: it's because the mould is also alive and it is therefore impossible to get rid of, which may also imply that a bunch of people who are in there have progressively become infected with more and more transmissible illnesses as no surfaces or medical implements can actually be sanitised.

While "Fleisch" can mean fleash, it also simply translates to meat. So whether intentional or not "Fleischsuppe" being either meat soup or flesh soup is a bit fo a pun here. Also it kind of makes sense that a meat soup would be considered a dish for special occassions, as depending on the time and region meat can be very expensive and wouldn't have been an everyday occurence.

This is the first time I hear of this but I am sure "Don't you fucking season me" is the best line in the game

Regarding the "flesh soup", This is a German thing, where the literal translation sounds weird to an English speaker.  "Flesh soup" is actually a very normal (and real) meat soup (usually beef), and the sting that the meat is literal people is probably a pun playing with this.  For example. Fleischkaese literally means "flesh cheese", but it's just a type of pork meatloaf and contains no cheese (nor human flesh).

3:31 crawling at  roughly 6 times the speed of light just to say "I'm in a bit of a pickle" is VERY funny

super happy to see more coverage of this game! the heliwald loophole is super slept on. scary, funny, and an excellent example of hospital horror that doesn't treat physically/mentally disabled people like scary monsters

I was so worried you weren't going to show "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" Haunts me to this day. Excellent video <3

i am such a weenie when it comes to actually playing horror games myself, and the WHERE ARE YOU GOING? scared me so bad I closed the entire game and never played more of it

crawls on the ground "I'm in a bit of a pickle" " don't you fucking season me" and "here's your fucking soup" are my three new vocal stims, unfortunately

As someone who works in a German hospital, I can confirm the game is a realistic depiction of the current state of the German health system.

The monster slipping on the soap at 4:38 is freaking hilarious, I laughed so hard

The Hippocratic oath is not the same as Hippocrates wrote it, but the principles have been remained pretty much the same:
Help the sick and the wounded with everything you can do.

Your "...ooooookkaaaayyyyy...." when the IBS patient first appeared sent me.

Stop what you’re doing everyone: tango just dropped a new vid

The Chef's name, "Sauer"
is also a quite fun pun if you know German.
Since Sauer is both a flavor (sour) but is also often used as an expression. Being "sauer" translating to seething with rage!:)

I dont have to imagine suffering everyday. Chronic pain baby!
and the idea of immortality with chronic pain makes me feel a very specific kind of dread
