Because this came up in the comments almost as soon as I published this video: No, this has nothing to do with Radical Living's recent video in which he explains all the reasons he's leaving Germany. I started planning this video at the same time I was making the "Why you should think twice..." video, and the timing is pure coincidence.

I don't have a response to his video because it's not a matter of who's right and who's wrong: we have different experiences and different expectations, it would be weird if we didn't come to different conclusions and make different decisions.

Quite fitting that the only high speed rail in Britain is to leave the country as quickly as possible

Schroedinger's Rewboss: he likes and doesn't like living in Germany at the same time.

Your reasons are fairly similar to mine: I moved here from the UK 25 years ago and never regretted it. I work in social care which is a good system many people don't realise is there until they need it.

I'm working in Hannover. It's Germany's 16th most beautiful capital city.

Sie haben frei gesprochen und Bilder genutzt, sehr gut! xD

I once loved a Girl from Thuringia, as a Boy from Hamburg.
Whenever I would visit her, I'd have to travel alongside countless castle and through some medieval villages that were on steep mountains,
mountains I didnt really knew like that as a Kid from the Flatlands.
It was just breathtaking what you could simply see from within a bus already.

Danke.

It’s striking that people from other countries have a much more positive view of Germany. As a German, I’d like to request that this video be made available in German for those grumpy, moaning Germans.

I am a South African living in Germany, after having spent 14 years in the UK.  After 10 years in Germany I can agree with everything you say. Loving Germany more and more!

It’s nice to hear such an assessment from a smart guy. 👍

Excellent video. I like Germany very much, lived there for 18 years, and I miss Germany.

Thanks, Thank you for reminding us how many reasons we Germans have to be grateful.

I have been living and working in Germany for 27 years (retired last year) and I really like this country. In spite of the problems with high energy costs since the Ucraine war and some political turmoil I still think it's a wonderful country to live.

Rumours that Europeans in general are "rude" come from Americans, who feel like they must do small talk with everyone they see throughout their day (Others don't do that, so they get weird looks, or no response at all), or who expect servers to ask them about their day, their plans for tomorrow, their kids, etc. before taking their order.

....I can assure you that the cell broadcast works when it needs to. I work in an office building close to a construction side next to a train station that is a major infrastructure cross. We had to spontanously evacuate the building thrice last year because they found some old WW2 bombs that could go off at any second. (plus an additional 6(?) times or so where they found bombs where they could plan evacuartions). The cell broadcast is very noticeable and loud and works pretty well.

I choose to live here for many reasons but "low crime" is a big one for me. My children can walk around on their own, get the bus to school. It is safe to walk around most parts of Germany at night a least more than in most other countries in Europe.

Agree. German  living in the UK for 22 years😅

I've often wondered why I enjoy watching videos from people who share their views and insights from the perspective of an immigrant or temporary guest. Perhaps it confirms my view of a country that has much to offer, but also shows potential for improvement, and is constantly evolving. This contrasts sharply with the right wing of society and politics, which wants to make you believe that everything is wrong and terrible, and that we are doomed unless we turn back the clock decades, banish everything "foreign," control the media, ignore human rights, and accept an autocrat in a fascist system as the ultimate salvation. Videos like these are small islands of hope in the sea of hate and incitement on social media. Thank you for that!

Implementing and testing Cell Broadcast is one thing. The way the railway line was reconstructed and newly electrified within just a few years is quite impressive.
