Why The Bosmer Are The Best Elves In Tamriel - Elder Scrolls Lore

The Bosmer, or the Wood Elves, are The Elder Scrolls' best elves, and that is my controversial opinion. They are the best Mer in Tamriel, and while I don't mean this from an interest point of view, even though I believe it, I do mean it from a moral point of view. That's not a high bar. The Thalmor are trying to unmake the world, after all, but the Bosmer are pretty chill, and I'm going to prove it.

You can call them cannibals, but you cannot call them inefficient.

You didn’t mention that when they do fight, it is usually at range with a bow since they are the best at the weapon as a race. Fighting Bosmer in Valenwood is a nightmare as not only would you have to deal with a largely untamed forest but the Bosmer would be up in the trees sniping enemies and seemingly vanishing because almost nobody could follow them.

While not exactly stated, I feel like the Meat Mandate could also be seen as a deterrent for extended warfare or large massacres, as having to eat a ton of bodies within 3 days would be quite the task even for a small militia group.

Is this how you honor the Sixth House and the Tribe Unmourned?

My head canon is that they are all also buff or lean due to all the protein and running, and their back muscles are huge due to bow string pulls.
So short buff kings and queens.

Cannibalistic habits aside, the Bosmer are quite polite and respectful when compared to most other elves, such as the pompous and megalomaniacal Altmer, the amoral and arrogant Dunmer, or the perpetually angry Maormer (Sea Elves).

The Sixth House disagrees with and denounces this opinion

Describing Pelinal as the "crazy uncle" is hilarious.

Heck ya the Bosmer are the coolest elves by far. A perfect mix of conventional elven traits:

tree hugging, master archers, somewhat druidic,

while also having their own unique traits: Cannibalism, making organic homes using magic, Connection to the ooze allowing them to become crazy shapeshifters, and some (albeit somewhat lacking) religion that provides them their unique cultural identity beyond being tree hugging cannibals.
