are the viewers tripping or do u agree with these takes?

9:25 not once in my ENTIRE life have I heard it called "chopped sway" 😭

I've been a D1 HATER of Dance Monkey from 1st listen 😭

Dont think not like us is overrated. It was the nail in the coffin for the beef with drake. It just got extremely overplayed. You would hear in it a bar/clubs or sport events but not anymore. They played that song to the ground

9:23 it's pronounced chop suey

Dance Monkey is not overrated, don't worry nobody thinks it's good.

I'm also pretty sure that all these viewers don't understand what "over-rated" means and they think it means "over-played." like, 95% of the songs you talked about you literally prefaced with "i think this is just over-played."

Dance Monkey is so weird because it's widely disliked by practically everyone yet it's one of the most streamed songs of all time, like, I know stores and malls played It a lot but still, It doesn't add up

9:23 the original title of the song was going to be Suicide, before being changed to sound less aggressive. Soo-ey is correct

9:25
"chop suey" as in the word "sue" with a "y" at the end. you had it in the first pronunciation

Some of the songs in this video are overrated but Don’t Stop Believing, Mr Brightside, Stairway To Heaven, Chop Suey, and Bohemian Rhapsody are all amazing songs.  They are definitely not overrated.

Holy shit im in the video hell yeah man thanks for the shoutout p.s. i do the same thing for my other dog buddah with the song of that name by tech n9ne

Chop Suey was on Rockband 3 so that probably attributes to its popularity, my fave is Deer Dance tho heh

You were quick and nice about it, and I'm glad for that. Because I feel so sorry for the artist Tones & I. She was a street artist, all she ever dreamt of was to perform and create music, and she did. She was fantastic, but the people who came to listen to her kept on asking for her to repeat the song Dance Monkey, which is a song about ... people who only hears and care for one thing and does not see you as anything else but a singular act, which is unironically what happened to her. She didn't have money to record albums or studio sessions and one day someone told her she could use their studio to record her album, but only, if she recorded Dance Monkey first. She reluctantly did, as she would be able to actually record her other songs, and what happened? Dance Monkey went viral, the one song she didn't even like. Nowadays when the public hear about the artist Tones & I people get that: "ugh ... Dance Monkey girl?" and brush her off, which is so sad, because she has so much talent and really good music. I really recommend people try out her song: "Wonderful".

Sorry for the little rant, but I really believe she deserves to be given a real chance, and not treated as a ... dance monkey.
Have a great day everyone.

9:24 it’s Chop Suey (soo-ee) because the original title was going to be Self-Righteous Suicide (or possibly just Suicide, I forget) and the studio didn’t like that. Chop Suey is in reference to this. Cutting out the back half of suicide, hence the Chop Suey

Sue E. The story I heard is that it was to be called something like “Self Righteous Suicide” or simply “Suicide”, but the label wouldn’t market something mentioning suicide, especially in 2001. So SOAD chopped suicide.
Chopped suicide, chopped sui cide, chop sui, Chop Suey.

comparing dance monkey with literally any other song in existence should be considered a violation of the human rights

I got a video suggestion: songs ruined by the beat (deep song with a looney tunes ahh beat) or the inverse of it, which in other words would be good beat b.A.A.d lyrics

> VIDEO IS MOST OVERRATED SONGS OF ALL TIME
> look inside
> 90% overplayed songs that nobody has put on a pedestal EVER

YO do mattysquared fans know anything

“Are We Still Friends?” Is the best off Igor perfect ending for the album
