I always thought Jose Estrada and Johnnie Rodz made an excellent tag team . A shame really that they never worked the South where two smaller guys could get a break .
Referee Victor Quinones was alleged to be the son of Gorilla Monsoon and he was living with Monsoon's family, in the US, after coming from Puerto Rico. Quinones was involved, since the age of 13, with the local promotion, where Monsoon had a part interest in the office. Quinones bought part of Monsoon's stake and returned to Puerto Rico, to work with Carlos Colon and Victor Jovica. He later started the IWA, in Japan, a rival of FMW, and then a new IWA, in Puerto Rico, with connections to bringing in WWF talent.
This is before Eddie's accident, that broke his neck and damaged his heart and part of Tiger Mask's first tour of the US. The WWF Jr Hwt title was mainly used in New Japan, as part of their working agreement with the WWF, where he traded the title with Dynamite Kid, while also winning the NWA Jr Hwt title, from Les Thornton, which led to some friction with a few of the NWA promoters, leading to a creation of a new NWA Jr Hwt title, separate from the original.
