I'm just wondering what the reason is for the sofas, is it to do with the door under the stairs. I personally would have chosen a two seater on the wall but to put the feet up I get  it.

You definitely need to secure your home without question. I think whoever is doing that stuff has some issues and you want to make sure you and your family are protected.

I'm going to touch on a few things here so forgive me jumping all over.  You said that your are painting.  Normally, any time you make changes the spirit doesn't like it.  But you've done major renovations already since this all started so what's happening here has nothing to do with that.  After your alarm went off, you can see a white orb heading up the stairs as you came down.  It was the dark orb that hit the back of your head.  When you hear that knocking, you automatically assume it's under the stairs.  That one time when you had the kinect going, you could see the figure knocking on the outside of the door.  I don't believe it's coming from inside.  I do have a question about the phone, I'm curious as to why the name Dad comes up when he is supposedly calling.  Did you save the number so that you would know if it's the same one calling or has this spirit the ability to set your phone up?  What time was it when that person dropped that note off?  It's quite apparent that it was a person and not a spirit that dropped the note off and was probably hiding, possibly on the other side of that vehicle right outside your door because you didn't look over there.  Being this is a person, you may consider looking into getting the law involved.  In a round about way, the letter almost seems to be a threat with apologies attached.  Don't handle the note, give it to the police to find fingerprints.  Even if they are doing this for a reaction or for the fun of it, they are disrupting your family's home and those living in it.
