πŸ‡°πŸ‡· Our first ever grocery shop in South Korea… and it was VERY different to shopping back home in the UK!
We headed into E-Mart in Seoul for our first proper Korean supermarket experience, with absolutely no idea what we were going to find.
From huge selections of kimchi and fermented foods to quail eggs, unusual fruit and vegetables, dried fish, Korean ready meals and some seriously interesting snacks, this was definitely not our average weekly shop! πŸ˜‚
One of the things we love most about travelling is doing the everyday stuff. Supermarkets might not sound exciting, but they tell you so much about a country β€” what people eat, how much things cost and just how different everyday life can be.
We also compare some of the South Korean grocery prices with the UK, attempt to work out what we're actually buying when almost everything is written in Korean, and somehow leave with a bag of pecans. πŸ˜‚
Would you eat some of the things we found? And what Korean food should we try next? Let us know in the comments πŸ‘‡
