“There is no curse in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of Men for this treachery.”

The more I look at Rings of Power, the more I think perhaps we treated the Hobbit Trilogy too harshly.

Tolkien: Is most canon man to ever canon

Amazon: No canon bro

"For just $2 a month, you could feed an Orc. Look how they live. Please. Help. Now."

No canon in Tolkien?! He's talking about a man who was nearly obsessed with preserving his canon in adaptations!

4 years ago "we won't break cannon"
3 years ago "we know it looks like we are breaking Cannon, just let us cook"
2 years ago "Even Jackson needed to bend Cannon to adapt the story"
1 year ago "Tolkein isn't here to defend his precious canon"
Now "Tolkein never cared about Canon in the first place"

I'm honored to have NEVER seen one damn episode.

My grandma always said: "I don't care what they taught you in highschool, there is no canon in Tolkien. Because he, as the author, didn't even realize that his work was a giant metaphor for climate change."

They cant show Giladriel with her husband, because that would show a healthy marriage between a male and female. And nothing is more horrifying to hollywood than a healthy relationship.

That opening quote on canon by Tolkien is perfect.

These writers think they’re geniuses.

It was obvious the stranger was Gandalf and it’s obvious the dark wizard is Saruman.

And for the “scholar” paid by Amazon to say canon doesn’t exist I hope the money was worth it cause you now have zero credibility.

Everyone to The Hobbit Triolgy: “Perhaps we treated you too harshly”

Fun fact, Durin is not a family lineage but the reincarnation of the last Durin. therefore it is absolutely impossible to have 2 of them at the same time in the world.

Humanizing the Orcs is such a stupid move. Now they're just another race instead of a scary creature. But i bet the writers thought it would be smart lol

RoP is exactly why JRR Tolkien refused to sell any movie rights while he was alive.

Gil-galad, a Fingolfin descendant, being held by 2 ordinary orcs…hate worthy.

In the fires of Mount Amazon, the Dark Lord Executives forged a single ring, One Ring of Power to ruin it all.

Adar was the only character that looked like an elf when he wasn't corrupted. What the heck.

“Gradually and then all at once”… he couldn’t even come up with an original answer for that. So he stole it from Hemingway’s “The Sun also Rises”. People go bankrupt two ways. Gradually, and then all at once. There is no creativity in these people.
