Rob Skeoch is a career photographer, working for five newspapers and wire services before joining the team at Major League Baseball for 17 seasons and the NFL for 14 seasons. Then he was a national manager for the camera group at Sony North America before going back to shooting.
Now he shoots for gallery shows around the world, mostly street work and portraits made with a Rollei twin lens and Hasselblad. For 35mm shooting he uses a Nikon F3 and a couple M-mount Leica cameras and shoots mostly Ilford film.

Let the enthusiasts cherish their luxury pets. Just yesterday (26-10-08), I got another Nikkor 2/50 for 59 EUR in best condition though from the 1970s. I love these devices because they fit perfectly in my hand and are absolutely reliable. I've been realizing this experience since 1971, when I started with my first Nikon F (but with an 85mm f/1.8).
By the way, I like savvy solutions: a 1.4/50 OM-Zuiko via adapter on my Olympus Pen F, or a relatively cheap Voigtländer 4/21 on my only Leica > a viewfinder-less Leica 'M Da' that cost only 539 EUR;-)) With a lens offering a 90-degree angle of view, I don't even have to squint and peer intently through a small viewfinder; instead, drawing on years of experience, I can use both eyes to gauge – looking right over the top of the camera – what will end up in the frame.
And when the postman rings the doorbell in a moment, I'll be receiving a package containing the Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 from the 1970s – famous as the 'Apollo Nikkor' used in space on the 'Apollo Nikon F' – which, at EUR 575 – costs just one-tenth of a Leica 1.4/35;-))
