Rip Puffer he was shot dead in the bronxs 💔💔

Edit: If you guys are interested into these astronomy theories and stuff, I would HIGHLY recommend reacting to some of the content from Melodysheep. They make almost simulation projects (with no AI) that take months of production, explaining and giving visuals of life on how different planets might actually look like if you were to live on it. It's more of a work of fiction but it's still very interesting.

Astrophysics student here - the sun actually won't explode because it's not massive enough. Instead, it will expand into a red giant star and likely swallow the orbits of all the inner planets out to Mars in about 5 billion years, and then around 100 million years after that it'll shed that outer layer and leave behind a white dwarf, a small dying star remnant that's releasing the last of its energy over a very, very long time. Hope you guys see this :)

P.S. if you guys ever want someone to ask about anything space related, feel free to hit me up

45:12 it's actually crazier. Interstellar's production worked with Physicists to determine what a black hole would look like if we knew where one was and could "see" it. They came up with what is in the movie. Then a couple years LATER, the first image of what a black hole looks like came out and it was THE SAME THING. The people that worked on Interstellar just nailed what it looks like when we can see a black hole, and that's super impressive

Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle discussing with eachother

This makes me want to see them react to the history of the entire world ig

38:30 is such a classic example of the blind leading the blind. Pezzy misunderstood light years as a time measurement instead of a distance measurement and also thought the guy said "wipe out an entire universe". If a supernova could wipe out an entire universe we would have never existed in the first place😭😭
Edit: alr I get it. Light years is a time measurement aswell. But you get what I meant. Thx for feedback

Fun fact about space. We all learned that Light is the fastest thing in the universe. Well it aint. Light is the 2nd fastest thing, the fastest thing is the expansion of the universe.

The interstellar black hole was not based on the picture of the black hole. The black hole picture came later. The scientist Kipp Thorne, who did most of the science checking for interstellar, created that image from an equation that he created that said a black hole should look like that. Really interesting stuff.

People during the Victorian era said the same about us being capped in terms of technology. Then the 20th century happened.

Considering how rare livable planets are, I think if Aliens found Earth and how Humans were slowly killing it, they may just try to usurp us to make sure Earth has a future.

35:19 "Everyone in McKinney is dead."
Edit: rewatched the clip, someone very clearly mashed 101 and 105 together so it reads as the city of McKinney being 101,105 degrees.

30:55 Just looked it up and apparently, Most scientists and NASA say the ozone layer was damaged by man-made chemicals, But the good news is it’s already healing it self and it’s predicted to be partially recovered by 2040 And a full recovery by 2066.

Not droid pulling Karl Pilkington argument verbatim lmao. "Everything that is to be invented has been" has been said thousands of times throughout human history. Just how Innovation works, you don't know until you know.

2:02 we get hit by solar flares all the time, thats what our atmosphere protects against, its just if the solar flare is powerful enough it can disrupt some electrical stuff for a bit, but nothing too major. I think they mean like supernova or something with the sun exploding and its 8 minutes, not 12.

We ABSOLUTELY need another episode like this

fun fact, the black hole in interstellar was based off of a scientific description of what scientists THOUGHT a black hole looked like. that image came out a couple years after the movie released. the CGI artists guessed what a black hole looked like.

7:56 Science is literally just learning how the universe works, with each category focusing on subdivisions of the universe's rules 😭. Science has always been fun, at least to me

By the way, that video is either outdated or just doesn't really know what it's talking about. We do know how black holes form. They form when the core of a massive star fails to create enough pressure to fight against the gravity of the entire star, thus making it collapse. This can form either a black hole, a super dense singularity, or a neutron star, a super dense sphere of iron that glow near endlessly. Pretty much all you need to create a blackhole is a huge amount of pressure. The hard part is sustaining it so it doesn't decay from hawking radiation.
Edit: Another big misconception is that black holes suck things in. This isn't true. Things fall into them. Things that get too close to one slowly fall into its gravitational pull and then fall past the event horizon, but they aren't sucked in.

Solar Flares happen constantly, a dangerous one might happen once in a billion years.

Grizzy: "does that mean my little dipper will be gone?!" Droid: "it might already be gone" Grizzy: "NOOOOO!"
