War Thunder Squadron:
=TORPS= Torpedoes Away

My Idea: From a certain era onwards, only frigates and destroyers equipped with anti-ship missiles and guided air-defense missiles were built. This encompasses more nations than War Thunder currently features. I see huge potential here for new ships and navies. I would create a dedicated tech tree for them, along with maps designed specifically for ships with guided missiles, to ensure that WWI and WWII-era vessels don't end up facing modern guided-missile destroyers or frigates.

With BVVD stating in the forums that they intend to add naval to Nuclear thunder later in the future, it could be a good environment for modern Ship. The large map should support modern naval combat, allowing for multiple objectives like defend carriers from enemy players in ships and planes, sink enemy carrier and striking inland installments with missiles. There could be more.

An idea which a clever person on the forums has devised is a Swedish naval tree both coastal and bluewater from all Scandinavian nations

Good stuff brother!

I feel like modern ships will be fun for like first 2 matches until people realize who ever has more missiles wins every time

Re: underwater environments, the newest mobile update was working on that. Different game of course but makes you wonder about PC.

I agree on the coastal stuff. I was thinking about subs, that coastal probably should be the counter to them more or less, and I was thinking that you'd want to either really up the BR of coastals and/or include a lot of new higher tier ones to kinda bridge up to wherever subs end up being BR wise, coastal kinda ends at lower destroyer BR's which is fine if you are fighting the destoyers with them, but we might need them to fight the subs which could be higher BR.
I like the idea of making them free, might not need higher BR coastals if you do that. I've always hated them taking a spawn when you have bluewaters in your lineup. I don't have enough german bluewaters to have a lineup to run but if I did, I really like the little speed boat from coastal, the V-990 because it has insanely fast torpedoes and I'd love to use it to throw some around but I don't want to use up one of my 3 spawns for it if I've got other bluewater stuff to run instead.

1:08 Mainly the Soyuz.

I've never had the boiler room explode on my ship or an enemy ship

I do want to know if we have any predicted timeframe for when germany will be getting its (probably last) battleship called the H-39.
It's most definitely coming but knowing when is a hard thing when I haven't even finished the german line yet...

What do you think of a carrier attack mode? A bit different than what is in EC. Maybe have a bigger map with a few carriers and some player controlled ships as convoy. The carriers would be spawn points and not player controlled. You'd be able to spawn in as a fighter or bomber from these carriers. If they got sunk the team would lose that spawn and overall points. I think it may be difficult to implement and doubt Gaijin would put the effort, but I don't see a good way to have player controlled carriers.

Hey man I have a question, what naval tech tree should I grind, btw I’m new to naval

Wait... so gaijin sub event wasnt a wate :D

Also hope missile ships are their own tech trees and and that way gaijin can put the naval weight into those and then completely i eman rip out the ww2 currunt aval and rework it

Hmm that new engine explosion mechanic seems interesting. It must explain why i shot a sharnhourst in the middle with my prince of wales and killed about 40 percent of its crew😂

Nothing say "good match" than playing top battleship against missile carrying small ship. Destroyer are notoriously hard to pin down by battleship unless the missile ship never turn. While missile will easily hit the ww2 ship. IMO unless it's being separated into different game mode or br. gap huge enough that two types of ship never comes across eachother, it's will further ruin naval.

This update fucked all my controls

There's one glaring issue, probably the single biggest issue, with submarine counter-play you missed out. Look at the background gameplay - Who in their right mind is going to willingly spawn a Coastal or DD in the middle of a Jutland-style line battle and slowly sail in circles hunting a Sub? Anyone attempting to directly counter Subs will be blown to pieces in literal seconds after spawning on almost any existing map. Submarines, just like Carriers, do not work in the existing Naval mode, and Gaijin have never shown any desire to significantly change Naval gameplay to make newer additions work properly.

Submarines are gonna be a mistake. They can't even get ships alone balanced
