I appreciate this, been looking at getting one of these and I like the detail you have on this video!

Finally a video that gets to the point

All minuses are subjective. That's NOT a FX processor, but just a former TVP series combo amp with no power section and with mighty new FX section added - that's the point ID:X should be examined.
- you'd not need BT here - it already had separate AUX audio input for streaming with no Cabrig influence. USB Audio also works well if you use ID:X connected to your PC while jamming or recording sessions.
- FX sequence is fully identical to TVP amps but improved with a new PRE FX section and the ability to change FX stompboxes is a virtual loop.
- ID:X doesn't need IR player, as it uses same principles like BOSS GT stompboxes do, but for a less price. BOSS iconic GT processors uses both IR and AirCab speaker simulations. Blackstar uses only proprietary one. There's no problem to connect cool external IR player to AMP's jack like Two notes Torpedo or AMT Pangaea.
Cheers.

I had the valeton gp 200... It was just ok...The IDX 3 is the way to go

Eq is in global settings you can cut bass and highs etc

I use IRs on my ToneX amp with the IDX Floor 1.  thinking I should have bought the Floor 3

+ buffer pedal  use  need to pre input gain up

I think you may have missed the point of this unit, slightly. This is NOT a generic amp modeler like, say, valeton, helix et al. This is a  modeler, primarily,  of Blackstar Amps. Together with a few other well known amps and includes an effects chain.

I bought it because I like the sound of some of those Blackstar amps. I also have a Helix Floor, POD Go,  Boss ME90 and Valeton GP50, which I use for a variety of scenarios such as Gigs, small Gigs, Open Mic nights (GP50 is small, light & battery powered) & fly rigs

Personally i like the sound, size & simplicity of my IDX Floor 3...

But I  guess controversy & polarised opinions get more YouTube views...

No EQ? I was considering the Nux Academy Stomp over the Boss GT-1 because the former has a 10-Band  eq.

To me, the Helix sounded best.

Need a bass version.

Basically, all the 'losses' you mentioned are the exact reasons why I bought it 😂😂😂.
What you said is correct, but personally, I really like its sound and features.
The only thing I'm actually missing is the ability to set a minimum volume for the heel position of the expression pedal (e.g., 60%).

Clean Tones? I need many of them! John Mayer Tones? Dire Streets Tones?

This was helpful man. You surfaced issues that I was totally not aware of or didnt even think about.

try using the built in EQ !!!

What is interesting is that all of the things you are classing as negatives are reasons I’m considering buying one. FYI, I have a HX stomp and that has all of those features but I hate menu diving, so I am considering getting one of these just to get the amps with knobs for control and to simplify my amp setup. I do wish it had an fx loop though.

What system version does it have? Were there any updates? Mine is 1.1.3, does it show if it's old software? I can't find anything about this device anywhere.

Can't see myself integrating this info my board, had a Boss Gx1 briefly and that is nice, but didn't vibe with my setup then. Thanks, glad I saw this video!

Gx 1. Does not sound as good and boss never does updates

This seems disingenuous. You have the Blackstar set to EL84 valves and the ISF set to a neutral setting against a Plexi. That raises the question as to why you don't have it set to EL34 and the ISF turned to at least 3 oclock or all the way to the right as Blackstar recommend for a Plexi sound?
Best case scenario is your results are a case of user error, worst case you've intentionally tried to make the Blackstar look bad.
I don't own one by the way, I own a Fender TMP. I just watched this video out of curiosity and find it very disappointing.
