Not me watching this still using my little Line 6 POD Go 😂

You forgot to mention the extra output options on the big QC. As someone who uses multi out and also stomp AND scene mode, I need the extra footswitches and routing options.

I think you make a good case for the QC, I think the mini is awesome since it features the same power, smaller footprint, and lower price. The advantage of buying a Helix is you can conceivably get one for 50-75% off the retail price on the used market now. You'd have to be nuts to go buy one at the new retail price now, as you can get into any ecosystem for that price now (Fractal, QC mini)

I totally agree with the tonex pedal! I bought it and returned it within the same week… it was a headache, for me personally! I bought the mini…Love it!!

As someone who uses the helix family of products, it's an absolutely fantastic time to buy one, the prices have dropped because of the new release and if it hasn't got enough in it for you at this point, you're not using it right

Thanks for sharing yer honest thoughts and opinions about what are and what aren't the best amp modulars to use or purchase, brother Xander 💪😎. Sending me best from Northern Vermont, mate 🤜💥🤛, and until next time...  Stay safe, Stay metal, and don't forget to Riff.?!
Getcha Pull <3 😎🤘🍻💯

I rack my QC and control it wirelessly with an airstep midi board and that’s only possible because the original QC has phantom power through midi to power a wireless Bluetooth receiver. That and two mono effects loops make it a must. The mini is sick though…

I currently have an AxeFx III, and I’ve never come close to maxing out the DSP. The UI is clunky, but that’s what the editor is for. That said, I did just order the Quad Cortex Mini 😊

I totally agree with you on the Tonex.

I love my QC… I run my tube amp through it and then pre amp switch for the lower gain tones I love. I do use all the buttons because on some of my captures the effects chain changes up. Still super happy with it.

The price point might be better for a used quad cortex if players start going for the mini 😅

I only want to drop here that i had my Kemper for 13 years and i just upgraded it for the mkii, i never had anything for so long. No planned obsolescence until now that is what i love, they had to update the hardware for the new profiling 2.0 but after 13 years that is totally okay with me. They have powered version there are small versions rack and head versions ... i love it, and while other modelers feel bad without touch screen, every effect has a direct button you barely have to use menus and idk i love that. Soundwise were are so close to real amps since sooo long new modelers are less and less worth the upgrade. Other things will count way more than the tone itself in the future

I'm happy with my stadium. The interface really is next level over the helix floor it replaced. It has a lot of extra features i will likely never use, but it's nice to know they're there if my needs expand.

Thanks for this. What are your thoughts on plugins?

Good advice Mr. Charles.

If you play in a nu-metal band that use two or maybe three presets, IE dirty / lead / clean, you don’t need all the extra buttons. But if you do most other types of music and / or many different styles you NEED a dozen footswitches to change between all the different gain presets and also toggle effects like delay, reverb, trem, phaser, etc etc.

The Line 6 Helix Floor is a great 4 cable for tube amp unit, I bought a floor model one for dirt cheap and once you mess around with settings it works pretty wicked for that application.

I own the full size QC and if I were to be buying a new modeller today, I have to agree, it would be the QC mini. Would probably use some of the saved case to buy a midi controller.

I'll be the freak- I love my HR core & buying one second hand, I saved a bundle. I might upgrade to the prime, if I can find one cheap enough.  It's the UI more than anything. Thanks for what you are doing. God Bless
