The Franks advanced like a steamroller through Visigothic France after their defeat at the Battle of Vouillé, and total defeat was only averted thanks to the intervention of Theodoric the Great and his Ostrogothic troops.

After their confinement in Hispania, the Visigoths of the Iberian Peninsula would eventually conquer the Suebi and subjugate the Cantabrians and the Basques. They would also face invasion from the Byzantine Empire, but after years of struggle, they managed to expel the Byzantines from Hispania. Finally, in 711, the Muslim invasion brought an end to the Visigothic Kingdom of Toulouse, marking the end of the Visigothic Empire. The fall of the Visigothic Kingdom of Toledo signaled the end of an era in Hispania, but soon a warrior would emerge who would fight to change history.

What happened to the Visigothic kingdom? Where was the Visigothic kingdom located? How many years did the Visigothic kingdom last? Who expelled the Visigoths from Spain? What was the Visigothic capital? Why did the Visigoths come to the Iberian Peninsula? When did the Goths arrive in Spain? What did the Visigoths leave behind in Spain? Who was the leader of the Goths?
