Thank you chris85 for putting this in Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/bbc-co-uk...
"David Bowie talks candidly to Kid Jensen, in a wide-ranging and jovial 1983 interview."
All worth it for the crikey at the end.

Great interview, great questions. This interviewer knows what he is doing. Asked DB and rejected when you expect it. Thanks for this one

Thank you for sharing an interview that I've never heard before. I really liked it too!

15:30 "where I'm supposed to be taking on the...part of a role" - I like how he hesitates there. He must have been aware of the irony, given the conceptual 'roles', characters, he'd himself invented and soundtracked.
'Waiting for the Man' is probably the version which features on the BBC sessions.
I recall an interview, presumably in the 1990's, when he cited 'Rebel Rebel' as an example of a song he couldn't imagine performing anymore. He did revive it, however, in the early 2000's - circa Heathen and Reality.
7:59 I guess that's the sound of a cigarette lighter.

Great period, even as Bwie would soon express disdain for the 80's, maybe not so much the Let's Dance Lp

Great interview of the greatest rocker at his commercial top. He was a bit disregarding for the Hunger which I find a shame. It's mostly about love, ageing and dead via exaggeration through vampires. I loved it.

I didn't know he didn't have any say about the compilations RCA put out.
