Love how he just lets it play, only commenting when there’s actually something to comment about

“this his first album?” Nah.. it was his first commercial album, his first was album Infinite.

The lp that changed mainstream rap , and pop music, forever

“Why can I see the exact lyrics he is saying, I can visualise everything he is saying.”
“His story telling is immaculate”
——— yep. You got it !!!!

Craziest line on this album was when he said he hits the trees harder than Sonny Bono. Sonny Bono hit a tree and died while skiing.

One thing to understand is this came out around the same time as serial killer movies were making a gruesome comeback, it was just fitting in with pop culture

Me and my crew seen em on this tour just about 2 months after this dropped at a concert hall that held less than 2 thousand people.  We knew we were seeing something special.  Little did we know just how special.  It was an epic moment in my life.  One of my most cherished concert experiences.  I have the stub framed like it was a Mickey Mantle baseball card.

LP stands for Long Play. Back in the day, that meant a full-length album, usually released on vinyl. A typical album would have around 7 to 10 songs. Once CDs came along, artists were able to fit more music onto a single disc, so albums could run longer and include more tracks. When you see LP today, it basically refers to a full-length project, usually in the range of 12 to 18 songs. If it’s a really big release with 20 or more tracks, that’s often considered a double disc or double album

Just letting you know Brain Damage is sort of a true story. Eminem was beaten into a coma in 8th grade by a bully. So yes he embellished the true story with humor but it actually happened.

As a millennial who got this album when I was barely 10 years old, I understand your reactions and love these videos bro. Keep it up!!

25:40 this is where Eminem showed me his real skill in his twists or wording made his lyricism  so unique its quite impossible to try and bite his style. Since then he's stepped up his rapping skill a whole other notch - putting him back up top in a class all by himself as the Rap God. I totally agree that this should be his title once we look back his legacy & compare Em to anyone else the next 50 more years of hip-hop. ❤

This is why Eminem exploded on the scene. Nobody do it like him

The drop in on "Role Model" is one of the best beginnings of a rap verse ever.

Think of this album like a comic book.

Truth scenarios, mixed with fantasy outcomes!

11:42 the real life DeAngelo Bailey that this bar is about sued Eminem for defamation for using his name in the song, but lost.

Em was writing the most offensive serial killer lyrics but saying it with a smile and put comic book super hero style in tbe video and hit after hit

I think his story telling ability and the way you can so clearly see everything he is saying is the true power Eminem.

Kim didn’t let him see his child and her dad wouldn’t allow him to step foot in his girlfriends house. That’s where his anger for Kim came from

18:38 this is why Eminem is a great rapper. He could rhyme with bars and build a picture of how bad his life was and what he was doing. The greatest rappers could tell a story and it sounds simple but you could never write it because it's their story.

So the song Kim from the Marshall Mathers LP is the Prequel to 97 Bonnie and Clyde.. the 2 more things out the trunk, we're the step dad and step brother
