The lead single is “Swim”, 2.0 was their second MV drop, the Hooligan MV, Merry go round MV, Come Over (a hidden track on the deluxe vinyl album of Arirang) lyric MV, and a few days back Normal MV!
"This song been out for like 2 months".....this song and a whole album are out since March, which is 4 months. Do you say they are “your guys”, but you didn’t know?
ARIRANG was released in March and since then is breaking records as we speak now , the whole album is amazing and so many hip hop fans are in love with it , it is widely recognised as a strong contender for the album of the year :) it is such a coincidence that you meantion about BTS being genre-less as in they kill every music genre, because music is music and they are masters in it, and on 29 July last week, BTS announced that they are not submitting to the Grammys and they stated that they would love their music to be loved as it is and not distinguished by region and language, this is in response to Grammy's attempt to segregate them and asian artists in the new award category call Asian Pop. BTS are really gutsy and principled artists who takes so much pride in their identity as musicians and refuse to be segregated.
2.0: This song is basically them knocking on the music industry’s door saying “we are back and taking back what belongs to us” bc they had to take a hiatus as a group to go do mandatory military service. He also explained it serves as a bold declaration against haters who actively hoped the group would fail or disband after their prolonged hiatus.
During Suga’s verse when he says, “We’re a vault, always someone vaulting over us (uh, uh, yeah)” he is being sarcastic bc people kept saying other ppl would surpass then and be “the next bts” particularly when they had to take a break to serve but no one came close.
During RM’s verse we are pretty sure he referenced TuPac "Hit em up, Rakim "Truth Hurts" Beetles "Let it be", and Rolling Stones "Let it Bleed a ".
