“But the amazing digital circus is so much more than that. It has KINGER in it.”

"Abstraction is pretty much just game end (in the real world)"

-Krispy King

I haven't started the video yet and I can already guess, it's probably just file corruption

Edit: There are unfortunately a lot of bots here

5:46 It was revealed on Twitter that Caine tried to fix his brain tumor to make him happy. Scratch either blamed his brain tumor for his mental struggles in the circus or genuinely had problems from it considering his brain had a tumor in it when it was scanned.

Maybe trying to leave the circus is the main cause of abstraction. Let me explain: Escaping the digital world is physically impossible because all the people are just brainscans, thus the code is attempting to perform  an impossible task that breaks the file. The system is essentially being forced to try and manifest their files in the real world (which doesn't work). It 's like asking a calculator to devide zero by zero.

The more they attempt to manifest this thought (perhabs through conjoring) the more corrupted their files become. And the more distorted their mind files are, the more irrational they act, until they reach the point of no return and spiral into madness.
Once their minds have regressed to the level of an animal, they are no longer able to fathom the idea of escaping. Thus the file can't be corrupted any further from that point on, leaving them stuck in this glitched state, with only fragments of their memories and personality remaining.

Well, in MY A.I. purgatory they "abstract" because their memory becomes too large for them to process and they become unfunctional and they are deleted (this was not intended and came about through long term testing)

I am not sure why I never expected these two channels to cross over, but it makes so much sense, and I am all for it

If I remember correctly before Jax entered the circus he thought he killed his abusive mom by accident. Taking somebody's life is NOT something you would simply move on from especially if it was an accident. Jax said it himself, he never got an answer of what happened to his mom so he was living with that guilt of potentially killing someone he wasn't even trying to harm in the first place, and was trying to not face the consequences . While it's pretty much confirmed in the that Leeroy's (Jax) abusive mom survived the incident in the end since Leeroy is living a normal life and not in prison, Jax never got that closure in the circus causing him to abstract. In short, Jax thought he killed somebody when he didn't mean to and is living with that guilt both in real life and in the circus, the circus made it worse for him which caused Jax, Ribbit, and Kaufmo to abstract. Though it seems like all of the characters were in their lowest points in the life when they entered the circus to.

I don't know why I never expected these two channels to cross over, but it makes so much sense and I'm SO here for it

suicide
i think its pretty easy to assume
that its an allegory FOR SUICIDE

ahh yes “But the amazing digital circus is so much more than that. It has KINGER in it.”

"Completely abandoned C&A headquarters" according to who? Someone's still paying the bills. Someone's keeping the various urban explorers from being joined by squatters, and keeping stuff from getting taken. And while everyone else has a reason to be in the building and try out the gadget, there's no reason given for Gangle's original to be in the building, and it's implied she was scanned after the accident.  Someone is on the outside keeping the circus running and that same someone's been /updating the hardware/. Computers from the 90s didn't have wireless ethernet, Caine can't hack a wireless network without the hardware to do it.

I am kinda surprised Team Theorist hasn't connected those dots, because "Who's keeping the place going" is pretty fertile theory ground.

What probably makes most sense is that the computer system that creates the digital circus cannot compute the inhabitants disassociating, which leads to a logic problem and the file being corrupted, and creates an Abstraction

"The only person in this main cast who can't abstract is Caine, the one who's helping cause so much of this pain!" what a rhyme

About Gooseworx saying they can't come back from Abstraction, Goose said on a Tumblr post that everything she's said there is fluff essentially and not firm canon, that includes abstraction not being reversible

what if we are assuming the Circus is running 24/7? like if the device gets shut down the characters aren't going to notice which allows time for maintenance, upgrades or repairs. it could also have been moved to a modern server while the screen we saw was just a viewer

IMO, Caine represents the algorithm. Symbolically, I feel Abstraction represents getting overwhelmed and cutting yourself off from that relentless deluge, both digitally and IRL, friends and family included.

7:00 I didn't take Pomni's dream as suggesting she was on the edge, I thought she was just worried about it because she just got here and everything is overwhelming. The Gangle theory makes sense and I've seen it before. I also strongly suspect Zooble was headed that direction before Spudsy's.

Pirate Clark sounds an abstraction . He hated pirate Clark.   Seems be what he sees in himself
