Once, one of my villigares gave me a trash can, and then she said, “Heres a trash can! I gave it to you because i think its your style.“

You know, I can't lie, the fact that Sue E. immediately clocked that you were in debt to Tom Nook has me wondering how often he does this to people. Like "Oh, you have a job? Damn, you couldn't afford a house"

You can’t just expect people to have fun with “child safe” characters without the bullies. You need both, both to get harmony. Something that Stardew did achieve with first impressions

i feel like in the older games they weren't scared of offending people or being rude and thats why the dialogue was so good

@MarigoldACNH 2 years ago

Younger me: “Back in my day we had a mole that would scream at you through the screen and hold you hostage for not saving your game”

Me to my younger self: “Sure grandma let’s get you to bed”

“But at least I get verbally abused by my neighbors”

Sue E: “I guess you’re still just a burden to society!”
Jaiden: “You wanna play The Bunny Game?”

7:58 when addressing the dialogue one of the things that bugged me the most was They were still telling me about tutorial things despite like you hundreds of hours of gameplay

The characters in animal crossing are like stones in a riverbed, they used to be rough and unique with the potential to scratch you if you weren't careful. Now time has smoothed over all of those sharp edges, and while they are safer, they all basically look and feel the same.

The boringness of the GameCube game is part of the appeal it's like raking a sand garden while some alcoholic villagers berate you. It's meditative

Everybody gangsta ‘til Sue E condescendingly tells you you’re a broke and sad delivery person

Original animal crossing was meant for working moms!! Thats why it only had about an hour of gameplay a day - it was meant to be soothing. I LOVE it. Its so comforting to me. Mom and I would take turns in our towns. I wish they would rerelease it for the switch GENUINELY
