Brands like Hyundai and Kia do so well because they listed to what their customers want and give them that at a decent price. The car makes me smile, Vicky makes me smile - this is a great episode and Hyundai have an excellent car in the Inster. I am sure it will sell well.

This is simply amazing small EV. Owning one now for almost a month is just perfect daily roundabout.

Did have a test dive end of March and ordered it the next day. Inster Prime with a movable glass window in the roof and V2L. Where the hell do you get V2L in such a tiny car? All assistence systems you could even think of, including even a 360° camera, are in. This is truely amazing. Just to mention, that ist comes not only with a heat pump and heated seats, but also with a heated steering wheel. Not to mention the buttons in the middle and on the steering wheel. Just one hit and you have access to all the basic fuctions you need. This car is so pretty amazing. Driving a 12 year old Audi A5 convertible with some scratches on the painting, and the Hyundai dealer did offer me 12.000 €. The Inster Prime with all you could think of is with a rabate in Germany 29.200 €, so with trading in my old Audi having run 155.000 km, will get me a new electric car like this on 17.200 €. Who the heck would not do this? Ok, I was diving convertibles for 28 years. But there are still no E-convertibles yet and I didn't  want to wait any longer.

I saw one on the road today and  think it looks amazing, great size car.

Ms. Parrot is one of the best auto journalist on YouTube. She is a genuine car enthusiast at heart and it shows in every auto she reviews for Car Gurus. I almost automatically agree with all her comments and evaluations. Any car company would be well advised to consider her as a consultant and/or product developer. She is under-used at CG but I am glad she is there. As a Yank here is the states, I can only wish we had some of the fantastic vehicles you have over there in GB. You brits are so lucky! As it is, we are overwhelmed by SUVs and Trucks. To see anything small and easy to park is a rarity. We simply don't have enough hatches and/or estates for my tastes. Thank you CG! Keep it up and whatever you do, keep her on your staff!

It is so nice to see someone who revieves cars in an intellegent and informative manner. I considered the Citroen C3, the Renault 5 and the Inster, I have gone for the Inster because it is practical, well specked and has a good range. Also the car has a 5 years warrenty, and battery 8 years.

let’s talk about the rear parcel shelf. No need to stand there wondering what to do with it - it stows neatly in the gap under those ‘flappy’ things 😊

With part exchange of my 10 year old low mileage Lexus CT200h Hybrid, I paid £9500 cash for my brand new  Inster 02. ( I do not do lease) The dealer had a Summer deal of £500 ending at end of September, and £3000 of Hyundai discount along with free Tech pack worth £500.  I have had my 02 for a week now, I love it, Jungle Khaki, its a great drive and does well on dual carriageways,  town and the rural roads where I live.  I wanted a smaller and all electric car. The Inster 02 fills all my needs. ( I had a Zappi home 7KW charger installed Monday this week by a  highly regarded local  small company) Fits well with my solar panels and storage batteries. The Zappi and Solar communicate.

The outside faintly reminds me of the original Nissan Micra. As to performance - it’s a town car/shopping trolley. So no need for blistering 0-60.

I prefer the outer styling of the Renault 5 & Jeep Avenger. But the Inster seems more practical and has more included safety tech for the price.

The boot floor and sliding rear seat is remarkably similar to the Daihatsu Materia!

For me, the Renault 5 is much better looking and it's probably better to drive, but the Inster has features that make it irresistible: the interior flexibility, it's unusually narrow at 1.61m... and you can specify a beige interior.  Excellent review, covering the things I really want to know about.

Fabulous review.   I think Hyundai/Kia are turning out innovative, efficient, smooth, likeable EVs.   Thank god the South Koreans are putting in a shift challenging the Chinese and large European manufacturers.   If only Britain had its own manufacturer equivalent to Hyundai/Kia turning out EVs of the same ilk!   Let’s hope the new leaf and Juke EVs will be a success for Nissan/Sunderland.  I also hope the puma EV will be a success for Ford.
