Mysterious Big Cat Sightings in West Yorkshire. 2005 to 2025
The Dark Side of the Moor

For many decades there have been reports of mysterious 'big cats' appearing in locations for a brief period of time, before disappearing again. In the last few decades, there have been nearly 6000 reported cases in the UK. However, almost all of them have a glaring issue....no evidence whatsoever, no footprints, animal carcasses, or, maybe most importantly, photographs! In this digital age where nearly everyone has a phone in their pocket, it seems unlikely that no known conclusive photo or video footage can help find a definite answer to this mystery.
But what causes the 'sightings'? is it mistaken identity, playing a practical joke, or maybe what they've seen is genuine?
In this video we look at four locations where sightings have taken place over the last 20 years including a location from 2025.

I had to comment due to the fact that I have witnessed a Large Black Cat the size of a Panther in the West Yorkshire area. The 4th location you were at, looks very much like the place where I also saw the Large Cat.
Good Video. 👍
They're here, they're perfectly adapted to life in Britain and many will be, by now, a uniquely British subgroup imo.
I saw one in stourport n severn near kidderminster where I live.
I caught a taxi around 9.00pm one winter evening from Kidderminster train station and as I came into the carpark area of where I live in Stourport N Severn we felt a massive thud on the front of the taxi, we thought we had hit someone maybe a deer or large dog.
As soon as my driver turned on his taxi head lights a massive cat and it was big bounced off the front window screen, all i saw was a large tail and big paws, it was so fast it then leaped right over the large walls on the side of my property and they are about 10ft plus walls too.
My sisters friends keep horses and one summer in Stourport during the summer it started to rain heavy so my sisters friend and mother pulled over as the rain was coming down and they could not see through the window screen.
They felt a massive thud on the car roof and a big black cat jumped off the roof into the bushes.
They were non believers in big cats until that summer day.
They are out there even in Worcestershire many are seen when taking dogs out for walks.
