He is the author of After: A Doctor Explores What Near-Death Experiences Reveal about Life and Beyond, co-author of Irreducible Mind and co-editor of The Handbook of Near-Death Experiences.

Bruce greyson is the reason my skeptic mind shifted to believe in the survival of consciousness. I could listen to him for hours. I loved you asked the skeptical questions as well. And Bruce as always is very humble about everything. Down to earth but yet open to any possibility

I heard on another podcast that one of the lines of reasoning believers of NDEs use is that Alzheimers people sometimes become like themselves again a few days or hours before they die despite their brain not working so people sometimes believe they spontaneously got better. That actually happened to my grandma, she wasn’t nice though she got mad when she figured out she was put in a home and my aunt feels bad about it for life now but my aunt didn’t know you could have live-in help at the time.

I knew my grandmother was gonna pass away. After I had that precognition, about 2 months later she passed. So I believe it's something that science will not understand completely. I've had my questions and was curious. So how would I know that, I don't know.

I don’t believe in a god or afterlife but there is a lot of things and these things being one of them that really make me think how little we actually might know…. Very interesting

I have many objections to what this guy is saying for example at 35:35 he says: "Most of science is anecdotes" While science relies heavily on empirical evidence, anecdotes do play a role. But, anecdotes and anecdotal evidence are considered fairly skeptically by scientists and science as a whole. Science is very much concerned about verifiability and repeatability and although an anecdote is certainly repeatable, verifying an anecdote is a whole other story. He is making a strawman there.
