Like one is worse than the other, WHEN THEY ARE ALL JINK, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT BRAND YOU GET.
Any new trucks after 2020 are made cheaper, and junk, the brand means nothing. After 2020 the car makers got greedy, and they stopped making affordable trucks, they also cut costs to make them less reliable, so they could make more profits. And so the truck lifespan is shorter, then you have to buy a new truck every 5 years instead of every 15 or 20 years.
I had a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT, drove it for 14 years with very few problems, from 2012 to 2026, it was 26 years old and still ran good, started every day, and I drove it almost every day. Had 175.000 miles on it when I traded it in a month ago.
I got a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab, for only $10.000, but the best part is it was a one owner truck with only 62.000 miles on it, and he had the oil changed and the tires rotated every 1.300 miles, which is ridiculous. It's like a brand new truck, runs and drives like a dream. And it still has the older bulletproof 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine that is known to run for 200.000 to 300.000 miles.
And the truck I got was taken care of by an old man, it was his baby, I could not find one in better shape if I tried, it was a miracle to get it for that cheap. I checked the oil after 1.000 miles on the last oil change, and it looks like they just poured it into the engine. It is a winner.
If you lived in the 60s and 70s you would realize that pollution and CAFE regulations are important. The air was terrible.
Instead of putting all the high tech crap like touch screens, 50 computers, super high tech gadgets, get the damn engines right first.
Put the money for all the unnecessary tech into the engines and they could easily make small turbo engines that last.
At the volume they produce for $750 to 1000 per unit the could make a reliable durable easy to maintain engine.
They charge 60, 70, 90, thousand dollars for a vehicle.
Forget some of the ridiculous over the top systems, get the engine and trans right, then do the tech stuff.
