The album art alone should’ve told everyone this ain’t going top anything

My albums flop too but I dont get a fantano vid

Don't forget her stating that Chris Brown is her "favourite fucking person in the whole world."

Her trajectory is similar to Ellen. When your whole brand is built on being funny and likable, and then things happen that make you seem kind of scummy, that’s kind of hard to bounce back from

How you go mainstream and run back underground - Lil B

The sexual harassment allegations didn’t help but also the music ain’t hitting like it did in 2019

i love how she's the only person surprised by this

I had to back it up because I thought I misheard less than 3,000 album sales. Damn, that’s DISMAL sales

This isn't that complicated to me. People value authenticity and Lizzo's went out the door. It's like when Ellen DeGeneres who always said "Be kind" and we found out she wasn't a kind person. People thought Lizzo was about emboldening marginalized voices and uplifting women, but then the allegations came out and she is leaning into the "I'm a bitch" while saying she is innocent. It's tonal whiplash and people don't support that.

So which is it Lizzo? are you a bad bitch or are you innocent. You can't have your cake and eat it too

Her response shows that she lives in a bubble and doesn't live in the same reality that others do.

The more sanctimonious someone is the more I'm suspicious of them lol

Who could’ve known an artist would put so much emphasis on algorithms when they’re working against them, yet stay quiet when they’re helping them.

I dont really care about Lizzo's music. I clicked on this video purely because I haven't heard anything about her recently. So I guess my algo is working properly lol.

The approach is a BIG F YOU instead of being herself it’s more like a caricature of her public image and that is not resonating

I think we all forget that most artists popularity is short lived. She had a good 5+ yr run. The allegations hurt her, especially within her fan base, but as others have pointed out her new music is mid. You can't have those accusations and come out with shit music

To beat a dead horse, what's so wild about Lizzo independent of her music is that her comeback would have you believe she's been cleared from her dancers' sex crimes case for a while. There are actually legal disputes over this that are still ongoing, and you'd be forgiven for momentarily thinking otherwise as I was. Was shocked when I learned it. Glad Fantano took a moment away from just looking at the music to publicize that.

Well if the mainstream doesn't accept her she can get into her artistic flute bag and do something experimental with it. She has the voice to creat something more compelling but her focus is internet buzz

my first time actively experiencing a trainwreckord kinda nervous 🫣👉👈

She referred herself as a rage baiter. That made me cringe so hard.

See you all in 10 years for the Trainwreckords episode on this album
