Born too late to explore the world
Born too early to explore the galaxy
Born just in time to witness Janja's mind-blowing talent

It's so frustrating that we can't see all of Janja's movements on the last boulder because the cameramen zoomed in again and again on her heel. I don't know why they keep zooming in on holds dozens of times in a row, when once would be enough to see what the holds look like. Great job from the routesetters though !

Man, you really have to figure out how to handle better the scene selection for the transmission. In many occasions when the athlete was about to perform the movement, the camera would focus on a detail of a hold or a feet and we lost the overall perspective of how the movement was done. For example, in the last boulder we couldn't see how Janja did the crux because during the two tries she executed the beta, the camera selected was focusing and closed on the heel hook. Ok the heel hook was impressive and a nice movement but we had already seen people heel hooking there, the news was someone being able to unlock the movement, which we missed.  Just a friendly commentary on something to improve - at least in my point of view - the transmissions.

Janja with 90%+ tops is unreal. There are few sports that have such a clear leader. Even with her previous injuries, she is almost always in gold place with 4 tops in the final.

Great finals sucks the camera focused on Janjas foot so no one will ever have an Idea how she got past the crux...

It's crazy how jacked Jessie Pilz looks. That defined line that is the top of her lats is crazy

Climbing starts at 18:45!

After Janja leaving from the final boulder, there was a beautiful moment of her hugging and getting congrats from other athletes.
BUT camera was busy showing the replay 🙃🤦🏻

it's funny been watching these comps for years and one thing remains common is camera complaints in comments.

I honestly love the world cups, especially women's bouldering. Never get tired of Janja absolutely dominating.

it was cute how the gold medalist was coaching the other medalists what to do during the ceremony

Jenny Buckley is going to be really, really, really good.

I think the most frustrating thing that happens so often in IFSC comps is going to a replay when there is live action happening. It has happened at times when someone is topping and the choice is to go to a replay (not in this comp, but the logic is the same). I just don't get the logic of that. Who is making these decisions?

Why does the ifsc still not have an SOP for production!? Literally can just be a single sentence "only full body shots live, save close-ups for replays" ... HOW IS THIS HARD!?!?

Matt thinking that Dvorak is Jaws is such a mood

I've been reading the comment section since 2016. The same complaints about the camera work have been voiced for going on 9 years. Why has the IFSC not done anything about it?? Do they really not care about their viewership? Why do they not at least comment on it on their website. I believe a majority of viewers feel this way.

Annie Sanders clearly had the zone and got downgraded by judges due to favoritism on the podium. Happy Annie came roaring back and got the medals she deserved in Seoul and Keqiao. She's an amazing climber. And congrats to Janja, as well, always a treat to see her climb.

year after year the camera work seems worse and worse
how could it be so difficult to not zoom on random body parts when athletes are preparing to do a move...

Congrats to Janja's podium mates - what a beautifully memorable moment for them both, to not only earn their first WC medals but to stand next to the their - and all our - greatest champion. Bravo again to Buckley and Sanders what an achievement - five 2024 Olympians didn't even make the Final!

(10 years watching IFSC comps, that Semi w/o a doubt the most difficult ever seen; so congrats too to all 6 Finalists - very impressive climbing  for sure..)

Some of the worst camerawork I've seen in a long time, especially for a finals round. All that we ask is for the athletes to be in frame (full body) as they are climbing.

The volume of the music was a real problem with this. It made it feel like a music event where some climbing was happening. Amazing climbing all the same ofc
