Why Modern Sith Were Total Darth Revan HATERS

The Stupendous Wave

32,437 views

Why did the modern Sith rarely speak of Darth Revan despite his legendary power and influence? In this Star Wars Legends video, we explore how Revan’s divided legacy, unconventional teachings, and rejection of traditional Sith ideology made him a complicated figure for later Dark Lords such as Darth Bane and Darth Sidious and why the Sith ultimately chose to bury much of his history rather than celebrate him as one of their greatest predecessors.

"Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan. And yet, you are nothing!"

In my head canon, Valkorion's plan to end all life in the galaxy necessitated a response from the Force in making a Chosen one for that era. Revan is the most likely candidate.

I named my cat Revan

5:55 - "Somehow made himself an affront to both their beliefs."
Revan realized he couldn't make everyone happy. So he decided to make everyone equally unhappy.

In all that I have learned about Star Wars, Darth Revan was the only being to truly understand the force. There is no separation between the Dark Side and the way of the Jedi. They are the same path walked in opposing directions, but going in one direction does not mean you can’t turn around at some point. When he split himself he exposed the true power of the force. Both beings, on the same path, yet walking in different directions. And in this way both beings could reach the true extent of their power. Neither contaminating the other, both true to their nature. The Light Side of him wouldn’t defeat the Dark Side because it would corrupt his path. The Dark Side of him couldn’t defeat the Light Side because it was beyond his power to do so. The juxtaposition in this is absolutely marvelous.

It seems like Revan is still is a mystery to this day.

They’re just jealous that he not only turned back to the Light, but the Jedi accepted him to the point of being offered a seat on the Council.

Sound like true balance

@RedXlV 1 month ago

Presumably, the very fact that Dark Lord of the Sith could return to the light and become a Jedi again is something the Sith wouldn't want to think about.
