Unless you live there of course, but I think any European would avoid going to a country that is on the brink of a civil wΔ r.
- As you mentioned, catering crew, food and drink are based at Eurostar's 3 'traditional' destinations (London, Paris and Brussels). This is because...
- Legally speaking, the Brussels-Amsterdam route is categorised differently. 'Fine dining' is only permitted between the traditional destinations bc of how Eurostar formally categorises the routes, probably bc of regulations with national authorities. So once you clear Belgian passport control (i.e. leave Brussels-Midi), you're in the 'fine dining permitted' section
- I do find it strange how they don't even do a drinks service though, surely that would come under a different policy?
Very interesting video regardless - I've done London-Brussels a few times but never to Amsterdam, and I didn't know about the arrangement at Rotterdam either in having certain coaches designated for them. It makes sense when you think about it (similar arrangements are in place for other intermediate stations), but you never really think about it until you see it.
