Can’t believe drivers like Prost Piquet Lafitte all made the trip for this event when it wasn’t even part of the F1 world championship. Great upload..Many thanks to the uploader

Watching this reminded me that Moreno was brought in to Benetton F1 alongside Piquet for 2 races and they scored a historic 1-2 at Suzuka Japan.

1983 race please. I taped the race but lost it years later. I think Keke Rosberg was in it but didn't finish. I remember Moreno winning it.

1:16:31 Back in the day when they thought they had to humour the corporate zombs who sponsor the race.  I bet that 'portable' video camera didn't last long...
I thought F1 drivers stopped doing this 'formula swapping' back in the early '70s but I guess the prize was worth the trip, even for a world champion.

The Speaker of the House of Reps? Seems like a strange choice (unless Calder Park was located in his electorate... which it wasn't)

Do you have the "84 Grand Prix?
