I genuinely don’t want to learn about Greek mythology any other way than this now

Will always be mesmerized by II's drum work. It's actually fucking insane.

Another masterclass from you, our Pelé of interpreting Sleep Token lore

I LOVE lessons with Glen. And the Homer "doh" almost made me choke on my tea.

Hypnosis is my favourite Sleep Token track, so glad you're diving into Tomb now!

Bro I learn more watching one of your videos than 12 years of school. Your historical reenactments are classic. This is one of my fav vids you've ever done and I've watched and loved every single one. Not to mention this one of Sleep Token's best songs and one of my personal favs, so suffice to say I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I was impressed with everything I heard from them, but once I heard this one it was over. The drums are ungodly, I'd never heard anything like it, not to mention Vessel's voice as always, was just on another level. Also, i 100% agree II is the best drummer I've ever heard, no one else comes close. I cant even really name many other drummers, because you usually dont talk about them. No shade at all, but name a lead drummer lol, but he is what makes Sleep Token truly special. Even songs that I dont like at first, once the drums come in become amazing, no other drummer can do that. Anyway can't say enough good things about it or your analysis of it. Can't wait for the next one!

Another one of my favorite ii drum parts. I know it would add so much time to the vids but having glen listen to a live/drumeo version of the future songs in this album as well that are so different (and imho better) than the album version would be sooo amazing

Another great deep dive - and another example of Glen reenergising a song simply by exploring, and theorising about it. What a band. Thanks for your insight and for the time and effort you put into this video, Glen.

Thank you for all the work you put into these videos, Glen, it never goes unnoticed by us. Tomb is my favourite album of theirs so far and the one I listen to the most. Hypnosis is such a strange beast of a track - it's brilliantly constructed, produced so well (we still miss George working with Sleep Token) and is so deep, not just in its position in the ocean but also in the fact that it works its way under your skin and never seems to leave. It has the power to make you squirm in your seat in the most uncomfortable way and the horniest simultaneously - it's weird! And I'm here for all that. Greek Mythology with Glen was an inspired addition to the curriculum and I think we'll all be graduating from the University of Glencadia with honours. I'm not sure when you'll see these comments, but keep an eye out for the Prime van - there's some Jakemans winging their way to you on Saturday and Monday (no notes in the packages though).

There are therapists who use clinical hypnosis to help treat things like trauma symptoms, sleep disturbances, pain management etc. the difference is that the person is still in control, aware of their surroundings, extremely focused and engaged with what they’re experiencing.

@jwamn 23 hours ago

Love your deep dives....
May I add, the first time I listened to this I thought how the voice draws you in, locks your attention on it....
But the drums are like the stumbling gait of voodoo zombies, that drunken one singular thought of direction and motion leading them to their destination and then the drums stop....
I don't know. I'm likely crazy.
Even the drumming motion appears stumbling, and yet, it takes you exactly where you're meant to be.

41:14 I absolutely loathe that another human can put this into words SO well. Only because this is beyond a par human and this is something that generally only comes with experience. However it also gives in the way that... if I could have explained the why of a terrible relationship I could not walk away from to the ones around me that could not for the life of them begin to understand why I was still with the narcissist in said relationship... these words are perfect. It explains every ounce of each dark corner I found myself in. 44:05
I adore music as an art. I'm blessed to have found this community and I hope anyone feeling as alone or confused as some of us were or are find this. I hope it helps others as it has helped me heal. Thank you soooo much for being willing to explore this with and for us. Being empathetic makes it all so real make sure to take time for you Glen!!!! 🫶 You. Are. So. Loved.

I love this series and your speculation on music. I dont know if you follow breakence but his releases over the past week seem right up your alley for one of these videos. Keep being an awesome human, and thanks for making me smile so often

@Cyanmoon1 23 hours ago

So much to love about this song, not least the god-tier drumming. Loved the Greek mythology lesson!

@AbbeyWallace-y8n 21 hours ago

My favorite album of theirs. And it must be said that this is ii's masterpiece. Every single song he SLAYS on the drums. ii is literally the heartbeat of this album. Add in Vessel's vocals, they are just otherworldly. But make no mistake, this album is what it is because of our mad little drummer king 🖤🦩🖤
