Kawhi's tenure with the Spurs ended so badly that I dont think its a lock.. Sure it can happen at some point but definitely NOT a lock

We don't think LeBron's number 6 is a lock for heat? 4 straight finals, 2 chips, 2 FMVP, 2MVP, and multiple all NBA selections and the infamous 2nd place finish for the DPOY. isn't that almost the same as Durant for the Warriors? 3:47

3:23 I don't think the Tony Parker comparison is a good one because his tenure with the Spurs didn't end nearly as poorly as Kawhi's...I think Vince Carter departing the Raptors is probably the best comparison for how Kawhi's tenure ended....I think it'll be well over a decade after Kawhi's retired before he gets a consideration for the Spurs. I'm thinking he'll get his number retired by Toronto before San Antonio.

Insane to have Steven Adams but not Brook Lopez on Nets. Brook is the all-time Nets leading scorer and the franchise should honor what he did with future players like Deron/Pierce/KG/Durant/Kyrie/Harden all failing them by not being reliable.

14:19 And the Zo-Bam comparison is great! I didn't think of that until now!

AD with the Pelicans should be a lock too right? I know it’s awkward with the whole Hornets/Pelicans thing but 5x All Star, 3x all NBA first team, 1x All Defense 1st team, 2x All Defense 2nd team, 3x blocks leader before he went to LA seems like more than enough.

I like the idea of honored numbers. Someone like my boy Patty Mills would be a good candidate.

Trust me, Kevin Love is a Cleveland local hero. That guy's jersey is going up before Kyrie's.

11:30 don’t forget when Booker scored over 7000 points in one free throw

As someone who lives in San Antonio you should see how much fans still absolutely despise Kawhi. I would actually go so far as to say that it’s a LOCK his number won’t be retired here.

I know number 6 is technically retired for everyone but I could see Miami doing a ceremony for Bron just to have it in the rafters

Pascal's Raps statue should be in a tornado funnel, like Taz

probably won’t get his number retired but there won’t be a dry eye in the UC on January 2nd for Collin Sexton’s tribute video. so many memories, so little time.

Being the best player on a championship team should be an automatic jersey retirment.

Not bringing up bam scoring 83 is criminal

Kyrie could land as a Mavs retired number. Besides being 1/2 of "the best offensive back court duo ever" with Luka, I think Dallas fans hold him so close to the heart for genuinely keeping franchise/fandom's soul from completely giving up after the trade. HOFer obv, but deserves it in Dallas for his off-court heroics before anything.

...And speaking of Dallas, Dwight Powell jersey retirement or we riot.

omg I remember watching y'all like 20 years ago on NBATV as "The Starters"! It's cool to see y'all again

I do think KD gets retired, but you guys seem far too certain. There’s still a lot of animosity in OKC. It’s not been long enough. He’ll need to be retired for a bit. And Russ has to go in first. Maybe in the new arena in like 5 years.

Warriors themselves said they would retire KDs number when he left

Y'all remember the clip of Adams and Durant being introduced returning to OKC back to back? They should retire Adams and I hope they do
