Blackpink is a South Korean band, at the moment it is the most popular female group, they are known not only in Korea, but all over the world. In 2023, they became Coachella headliners. They also received the VMA Group of the Year award.

Blackpink is a band that uses elements of hip hop, pop, electronica and R&B

The guy in the  Puma shirt got it right about Jisoo. That scene is based on a real life event. Before she fell the media weren't  interested in her, only her image. Afterwards the media wanted to exploit her misfortune  by posting pics of her falling.

Here are other solo works by BLACKPINK:
JENNIE - SOLO, YOU & ME, MANTRA
ROSÈ - ON THE GROUND, GONE, NUMBER ONE GIRL, TOXIC TILL THE END, APT
LISA - LALISA, MONEY, ROCKSTAR, NEW WOMAN, MOONLIT FLOOR
JISOO - FLOWER, ALL EYES ON ME - there is no music video for some songs, but there are color coded lyrics. It will be easier for you to understand who is singing where

7:45 The part where Jisoo falls, and the phones turn into guns, has such a powerful message. It symbolizes how society and the media are constantly watching public figures, waiting for them to make the smallest mistake just to attack and criticize them. The phones represent social media being weaponized—people use it to spread negativity and hate.

I don’t know if you guys know, but the Korean entertainment industry is a very dark and toxic environment. Idols face immense pressure to be perfect all the time, and one wrong move can lead to endless criticism, harassment and worse. This scene shows how draining it is but also how resilient they are in standing tall despite it all.

ROSÈ (Roseanne Park - that's her English name. Park Chae Young is a Korean name) - February 11, 1997 (27) main vocalist, lead dancer. Born in New Zealand, raised in Australia. It's Rosè pronounce Ro-zay
JENNIE (Jennie Kim) - January 16, 1996 (29) main rapper, lead vocalist. Born in South Korea. At the age of 9, she moved to New Zealand and lived there for 5 years.

JISOO (Kim Jisoo) - January 3, 1995 (30) lead vocals, visual. Born and lived in South Korea

6:04 Exactly ..Back when 2016 ,the kpop scene was dominated by boygroups but then BLACKPINK brust onto the screen with a game chaning concept that set them apart from other girl groups. This move not only revitilazed the gg landscape but  also helped put kpoo grlgrps on a global map ..they made it a thing .BP>>>>>>>

You should watch the behind the scenes of ddu du ddu du u because everything is real. What you say "looks like a pyramid" is not an effect. It literally floats in the air and is built to accommodate the girls' weight. All the chess pieces are real and it's a drivable tank. Huge traps and many things you can see in the other music video... Blackpink did not use effects in any of their music videos.

The name Blackpink is actually a play on words that brings together the opposites of Black and Pink. Black connotes power, Pink suggest grace and femininity. The 2 together represent the groups aspiration to be strong and independent while still retaining their feminine allure. More Blackpink, please react to their mv's KILL THIS LOVE and HOW YOU LIKE THAT, both videos have over a Billion views each 🔥🔥

I would like to correct the girl who said that Hip-Hop wasn't as known in Korea/K-pop or wasn't done as much until Blackpink came to the scene. Thats not true, the first ever K-Pop group their name was 'Seo Taji and Boys' and they were a Hip-Hop/Rap focused group. Hell, even BTS (The biggest K-pop group ever) started off as a Hip-Hop group. And Blackpinks senior sister group '2NE1' was heavily based in Hip-Hop as well. There were tones of groups doing Hip-Hop/Rap before Blackpink came on scene, what I WILL say though is more girl groups started doing the 'Girl Crush' concept once Blackpink became global and popular!!!

Black pink is a powerful female group.  When you react some MV, the dance practice video of each song might be checked out.
For rap part, Jennie basically does fast rap while Lisa style is quite old school. Lisa did rap part in almost all songs, beside the main dance of the group.

Blackpink is a group that debuted in 2016, but they have only had musical activities for practically 4 years, the rest, their company kept them on hiatus known as hiatus, they have a total of 32 songs, 2 albums and 12 MV's, but they also debuted as soloists while still in the group, last year their contract ended but they renewed with the company only as a group, as soloists each one has created their own record label and they are also associated to American record labels, they are the most popular K-pop girl group despite their constant hiatuses and have the second largest K-pop fandom.
Jisoo: she is the oldest member and was born in Korea and is the most attached to the culture.
Jennie: She was born in Korea but spent much of her childhood in New Zealand, since she studied there, which is why she speaks fluent English.
Rosé: She was born in New Zealand but grew up in Australia, which is why she also speaks fluent English.
Lisa: She was born in Thailand, and moved to Korea at 14 to start her process as a trainer. She also speaks fluent English, in addition to Thai and Korean, among others.
That's a little about them.

Blackpink is not a new group they are one of the world's biggest girl group they have been owning the screen since 2016

Blackpink is the biggest group in the world and blackpink is most subscribers celebrity on YouTube with 95M subscribe

Yes, we need more reactions to Kpop, there are millions of groups with different musical genres, styles, choreographies, there will always be a group that you will love.
The most famous female groups that I remember are:
-Blackpink obviously
-Twice
-NewJeans
And the most famous male groups are:
-Bts
-Stray kids (my favourite)
-Seventeen

Those groups would be the most recognized, but there are a lot more that are also very famous and talented. I recommend that if you want to see more Kpop, start with those groups. ❤
