Here I am 4 years later watching your video, I watched a guy remove an egr off a td5 p15 with 140k miles on it , the intake manifold was gummed up really bad , I could see inside the manifold the egr combined with the hot oil vapour from the pcv had coated the walls of the manifold with a very thick tar like substance 😮 it was absolutely everywhere so much so he was going to remove the manifold and clean or replace it , anyway almost a year later he removed the egr delete pipe to check the manifold and it was very clean, a very light coating of oil vapour of the pcv , the tar like substance must have been sucked through the engine and burnt off over time, your video was excellent and explained everything very well 👍

Very well presented Steve. EGR is a choice that individuals need to make and depends on the vehicle. For example I have retained on my everyday town car but removed on my weekend car. I do less miles on the weekend car which for me balance’s out the gas produced. I also ensure the weekend car is healthy, again reducing bad emissions. Thanks for this video.
