Richard Hammond was in Taunton on 20th November 2023 to open the brand new County Classics Motor Museum.
This museum is the vision of local businessman Patrick Hawkins who took over the closed County Stores shop in the centre of Taunton with the vision to turn it into an attraction to bring people back into the town centre.
After being held up by the pandemic and various other challenges he has finally been able to open his dream venue. To celebrate this event the road outside the museum was closed for a display of classic cars, and TV star Richard Hammond came along to officially open the museum.
Join Trevor as he takes a walk around the classics on display and also brings you coverage of the opening speeches by Richard and Patrick.

They were originally going to have one of Michael Schumacher's old cars for a while, but it never happened.
This place is an old department store, with not a lot of room, and miserable, tight people of Taunton just walk past!
It will not last in Taunton, like a lot of things that have come and gone over the years!
Owner used to have a chain of tyre fitting places, called PH Tyres, who had attitude problems, with one visit being enough!
He used to live around the back of me, when I lived in Taunton, where I used to see his very attractive younger wife, going up
the local shop!
Obviously a Freemason, with local help from Council, Richard Hammond, etc!
Cars from this era were mostly awful, too!
