The Blue House issued a press statement on the night of the 5th, directly refuting the criticism regarding prosecution reform by the Cho Kuk Innovation Party. In the statement, the Blue House emphasized, “Cho Kuk, Director of the Innovation Policy Research Institute, appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Jang Yoon-sun’s Reporting Convenience Store’ on August 29 of last year and personally revealed his position that ‘supplementary investigations must be recognized,’ attaching certain conditions.”

It further stated, “The Cho Kuk Innovation Party has admitted itself that it has altered the substantive content of the prosecution reform plan according to reality and circumstances,” adding, “President Lee’s ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) post indicates that the grand purpose and direction of prosecution reform aimed at the irreversible transformation of the prosecution organization, that this was achieved, and that this intent has never changed since the presidential election pledge.”

Previously, after President Lee revealed on social media that the Cho Kuk Innovation Party had proposed establishing a Serious Crimes Investigation Agency (SCIA) for investigation and a Prosecution Agency for indictment within the Ministry of Justice, the party refuted this through a spokesperson's announcement, stating, "We have gone through the procedures to change our party stance to place the SCIA under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety."

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that President Lee posted 19 messages over the four days of the National Foundation Day holiday from the 3rd to the 5th. In particular, on the 4th, President Lee wrote, "We must guard against irresponsible extremism everywhere, whether on the left or the right, on the front or in the rear," referring to those who incite without grounds as "irresponsible extremists" or the "Mugeukpa." This has led to analysis that the message is directed at the hardliners within the ruling party.
